I am using the 45 buttons remote that comes with Hauppage 350 and I am unable to switch channels.
The signal is not coming from the cable box (eventhough I have one if needed), but directly from the cable.
I got the channel listing from the Zip2it.
Whenever i try to change channels it looks like its going to change but the channel its changing to is the same.
I tried to use .exe changer anbd point to HauppBlast.exe which gives me no .dll found error when i click on Live TV
I tried clicking fix the hauppage remote select "no changer required" and selecting use remote externally, but it still doesnt work (plus wouldn't really want that option since i want to remove hauppage software when i get GBPVR working right)
Thank you for your help
P.S.
While I am at it does anyone know a way to use Hauppage remote to control my tv set?
I have been converting some AVIs to MPG format with SUPER encoder and my main intention is to just author them and burn them to a dvd but I also happened to test it with my MVP and its pushing it up to the top of the screen and it is a little wide on the sides too. Now I remember this doing it with AVIs but I thought it played Mpgs properly. Is this just an MVP thing or is this going to happen when I author it too. I can never correctly get my encoded AVIs to letterbox correctly on the mvp. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
I have lots of music DVD's. My idea is to save each video as an individual MPG file on my PC. If I do this, can I configure GBPVR to play these like a video juke box, similar to my music?
I want it to play:
a selected track
all tracks in a folder (tracks from one DVD)
tracks by genre / artist
and randomly select tracks from any folder
Is there a plug in available that can satisfy this need? I cannot get onto WIKI to see.
Look forward to any ideas on how to resolve this one.
I downloaded the 3.2.24125b software from Hauppauge, stopped gbpvr, installed it, changed to SVideo in Configuration, stopped the Hauppauge services, restarted gbpvr and it worked great.
When not using the projector it is connected via an SVideo enabled Scart to my TV but I was only getting Composite Video before so that is an improvement as well.
I did notice some additional entries in the gbpvr config file with the tag <MVPSpecificSettings> that looks like Sub is experimenting with bringing this functionality into gbpvr which would be a good idea.
sub Wrote:Try switching the renderer from VMR9 Custom to VMR9.
that did get rid of that error and now i get a picture... but it's only 1 frame. live tv doesn't actually play i just get 1 frame of live tv and it essentially freezes.
I got a right earful this evening - "where is my ....."

Bravo and Challenge channels move
A number of Flextech's channels have swapped EPG numbers with one another today.
The Flextech channels involved in the reshuffle include Bravo, Bravo+1, Bravo2, Challenge and Challenge+1.
The changes are as follows:
Bravo from EPG 124 to 121
Bravo+1 from EPG 125 to 122
Bravo2 (formerly Bravo Player) remains on 123
Challenge from EPG 121 to 124
Challenge+1 from EPG 122 to 125
1st thing, I am not receiving all my channels in GBPVR. Zap2It does list all my channels and they are all checked but GBPVR doesn't load them all. The option to remove duplicates is not checked in GBPVR under the Misc tab. I am in Canada if that matters at all. I have already tried to remove and re-add the Cap. Source but same result.
2nd thing, I can't seem to download anything from the wiki site. I've been trying to download a few utilities from it for 3 days now and it just keeps timing out. I've tried from home and work, same result Anyone know of a mirror site or something to get these tools?
Actually with an antenna rotator, it makes it much better to do it manually. You can get all the stations and with TS Reader, you can peak all the signal strengths. I have made an Excel spreadsheet with the settings so it will be very easy. You just have to copy the settings over to GBPRV.
I had this working once but now I've forgotten. I just did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro on my computer and installed the latest version of GBPVR. In CONFIG I chose 1 server for MVP. I turned on my MVP and it states LOADING APPLICATION and just sits there. There really isn't anything else required to install to have this running...correct? You don't need to install anything from Hauppauge...correct?
Why is there a GBPVR MediaMVP Server listed in the START MENU. Doesn't this start automatically when GBPVR runs when booting up? I don't understand why that option is there as well.
