  Unable to find ffmpeg
Posted by: Ton - 2006-09-15, 10:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello Sub,

I think I have just discovered a (small) bug.....

I have had some problems with the transcode option from the Video Library menu.... I've got a standard (plain-vanilla) install, just not in the default directory.

When i ran FileMon, I saw that it was looking for "ffmpeg" in the .\Third Party" directory, where the actual files are stored in .\Third Party\FFmpeg....

After having copied the files over, everything went smooth....

I saw another post describing a similar problem, and thought you might want to know...

Hope it helps you some....

  Client Live TV streaming temperamental
Posted by: KevTheRev - 2006-09-15, 10:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I'm Trying to get the live TV working between the main computer in the living room and my sons computer in his bedroom (GBPVR client). I have the client computer set to streaming mode. I am having mixed success.

For example, It seems to work fine the first time I start GBPVR on the client but then if I exit live TV and change channel via the TV Guide the new channel won't play. It flashes on the screen for a split second and then drops back into the TV Guide.

I am running on a wirless 54g network with excellent signal strength.
I'm pretty sure the wireless network is not the problem becasue i can stream recordings and avi's no problem.

I have attached my log files just incase.

  0.98.8 - Object reference error
Posted by: Gordonx42 - 2006-09-15, 10:07 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

I start GBPVR with the command line -direct "TV Guide". When GBPVR opens, I get the following error:

Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Also, I'm getting random crashes that report errors with sqlite.

These problems did not occur with 0.97.13 (assuming this is because it used an access db?).

Can this be resolved? Or maybe can I revert back to the access db for 0.98.8?

  MVP won't play WMA files
Posted by: JonRoyle - 2006-09-15, 10:00 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (9)

Unfortunately I am still having problems playing WMA files through my MVP (rev H3). Using GBPVR 98.8. With the last version of GBPVR the transcoding service crashed on the server - now nothing happens. It is as if I had not pressed play. I have checked and MP3's play fine as do WMA via GBPVR on the PC. Unfortunately I have very few details to provide as there are no log files being created (set to Debug logs). Any ideas?

Latest version is much better with MVP - AVI now work reliably and no crashes so far. Well done Sub.

  Video Archive (Possible Bug)
Posted by: Pioneer4x4 - 2006-09-15, 09:32 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

1st - Jeff, I love this plugin! It makes resolving conflicts and deciding on what to cancel a lot easier by sorting pending recordings by show and listing by "sub_title"

The issue I just noticed is if you are looking at pending shows by show, <BLUE>then <GREEN>, and you cancel each scheduled recording for a certain show (as in you already have all of those episodes) it will blank both sides of the display. You have to change the view mode with <BLUE> to get a listing back, and it will still go back to the blank listing until you happen to pick a different show.
View the jpgs in the order listed. I scheduled 2 of the same show "The Insider" (whatever that is...).
va2shows.jpg Then I went in to VA to view them.
va1show.jpg Then I cancelled one show
va0shows.jpg Then I cancelled the other
If I exit to main menu and go back, it is still a blank display. I think I had to hit up or down on the blank page to get a new show.

Is it possible to add the option for automatic dvb-epg updating in the background while using gbpvr?

  Genre search, from the MPV.

I’d simply like to choose a genre from a list using my MPV, and display all the shows with that genre.

  Sound but no picture recorded?
Posted by: aristottle - 2006-09-15, 07:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

I am a newbie, and thought I had everything working last evening but when I went to watch the tv shows I recorded all I got was sound...no picture.

Equipment:

WinTV PVR 150 MCE edition (running on windows XP PRO)
Celeron 2000
250 gig hard drive
512 megs of ram
Nividia Sound Card (128megs)
2 DVD burners

Wintv 2000 is working and I can watch tv on the computer...however when I use gbpvr and select live tv....there is sound but no picture...I assume I have not configured something correctly?

BTW...I am in Atlantic Canada...and noticed that when I downloaded the Programing guide from Zap2it the times were off and some of the channels were wrong???

Any help would be appreciated...and remember....baby steps...I am new to this stuff.Rolleyes

  HIP Stops working or Inconsistent
Posted by: jsganga - 2006-09-15, 07:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi All,

I've been having a problem with HIP lately and cannot determine what the problem is. Basically, channel changing of my STB is inconsistent or does not work. Strange thing is that it worked for a few months without issue. If I schedule a recording on a 3 digit channel, the channel does not always change correctly. I know the keys are programmed right in HIP because testing them works. Also, if I change it with my MCE remote, the channels on my STB change without isse. I have already done a re-install and a reconfiguration of HIP and GBPVR multiple times. Can anyone make a suggesstion? Is there any way to set a delay in HIP for how long to wait before entering the next key. Any advice or recommendations would be great. Thanks

-Joe

  Closed Caption Problem
Posted by: curel - 2006-09-15, 07:01 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

i'm running a PVR-150 and GBPVR 98.08, for the closed captions to appear, it says that the playback has to be intervideo, VMR7 or VMR9. the only options i have are Overlay, VMR7, VMR9 and VMR9 (custom rendering), but the only one that works is overlay, because the other ones the images freezes in the first frame but the audio continues. is there a way to use VMR9, or there's a setting i'm missing?
