Okay I am logged in on web but how do I set an individual login? I am new to this service and I am not sure I want to add user name and passwords for my IPTV and cable stuff on a public service that everyone uses admin/password to access. So do we have an option to setup a personal login with user name and password instead of everyone using admin/password to access server?
New install, Ver 7.0.0.241105, Win 10. (After years of Win 7 and Ver 4 I have most things working as I like but have 1 small niggle that I can't seem to find info about.
When using the web client, I see in the EPG any recordings that I have set. However in the desktop client (which I prefer as its just like Ver 4) there is no highlight on the actual recording. There is a red bar at the top but this does not show the channel - only the time.
Logs attached as well as 2 snips showing the difference between the 2
When I attempt watch live TV, it doesn't get past "Starting device, please wait....". I can record and play back withouth issues. I can also use the HDHomerun app to view live TV. Logs attached. I check device status in settings and get "HDHomeRun 103C95E6-1 LIVE&/buffer/live-Outlaw-1-12.ts" Logs attached. - LIVE&/buffer/live-Outlaw-1-12.ts
The recently added change Artwork feature is very handy. Being able to CTRL-Click on an image to find alternatives works pretty well.
I do wonder if there might be some consideration given to giving the user some ability to "tweak" the search string when searching for artwork. This might allow the user to refine the search, or to completely change the parameter in the event that no results are returned from the original search.
Two current examples:
ABC TV - All Creatures Great and Small - the search finds artwork for the old 1978 series. Fortunately a couple of images from the 2020 series get picked up in the search so that's OK. The choice is limited, but sufficient. However, if the search was refined to search only for the 2020 series, there would be consioderably more items to choose from.
SBS TV - Magical Train Journeys in Switzerland - no artwork found at all, but Plex appears to find it, and has renamed the show to "Traumhafte Bahnstrecken der Schweiz"
There are other cases where SBS have translated the show name to English and no artwork is found by NextPVR.
I thought it might be a neat feature to allow the user to edit the search line to either refine the search (say by adding (2020) to the first case), or putting a completely new search parameter in place (for non-english shows).
Version 2.1.14 of UIDroid, latest NPVR (7.0.1.241229)
If I skip 10-15 minutes into a recording in progress, I cannot resume/play from that point. Exit still works.
I didn't include this in the logs, but Resume doesn't work after exit, just get the spinner, but Play does start from the beginning.

I recently had a problem with recorded files becoming huge - 30 Gb for each half-hour part of a series I recorded. Brought to my attention when the hard disk was full and things started to go wrong. To compound my troubles it was impossible to delete the files,I eventually fixed this by restarting the NPVR service.
I have made some rcording since, and things seem to be back to normal (5 Gb for a 1-hour recording). Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to avoid a repetition in the future?
Is there a way to get the Web Interface's Electronic Programming Guide to display the first few hours of the next day along with entirety of the selected day?
I want to the EPG for each day in the web interface to end at 6 AM on the next day, or even just 3 AM on the next day, instead of midnight on the current day.
Seriously, enabling that would make my ability to do manual TV recording scheduling so, So SOOO MUCH Easier, especially since the web interface is so much faster than the old application interface.
If there isn't already some configuration file somewhere I can tweak to enable this, how difficult would it be to implement such a feature in a future version?
I have had a PC running NextPVR for some time on Windows 10, things work quite nicely and TV was available to my Kodi devices. However its suddenly stopped working - possibly when I updated NextPVR.
Using the web interface to NextPVR to play a channel I get "starting device" followed by "Streaming failed (transcoder exited)". Initially some channels worked but after "diagnosing" the problem none work. Here is what I have done so far
1) checked the hw - using Mediaportal tv, all good, all channels work
2) rescanned devices.... no chance
3) deleted all channels from NextPVR and rescanned....no change
4) updated to latest (Version: 7.0.1.241229)....no change
5) uninstalled using revo and removed all data & remnants of NextPVR
reinstalled latest, removed superfluous devices, configured live and recording folders to known ones with lots of space
scanned DVB-S devices (found >300 channels)
no real change - all channels show starting device and then streaming failed
[tried with firewall off and well]
so it looks like NextPVR can find the channels using my TV device (Blackgold) but cannot play them. I have searched the forum for similar issues and there do appear some but none look like they match and certainly nothing suggested has fixed my issue
I have looked at the logs and nothing appears wrong (to me) - the device is accessed, locked with good quality but then things stop
I see that you have released a new version (7.0.1.241229) of NextPVR for all supported platforms. Unfortunately it seems the Docker version (nextpvr/nextpvr_amd64table) is still the old version (7.0.0.241105).
I have been running the older version via Docker since its release with no problems. I generally use Portainer to manage my Docker installation and have used the supplied docker-compose file as a Portainer stack to create my implementation. Rerunning the stack should pull down and execute the latest docker image but in this case it doesn't seem to.
