Hi NextPVR folk.
I have just moved to trying NextPVR after weeks of struggling with MediaPortal2 and then MP1. NextPVR was a pleasant surprise, however, there's been a major upset—scanning the four tuner device/s on a Hauppage receiver card hasn't detected any of my national (Australian) broadcaster's TV channels. The first scan yesterday retrieved 22 channels. Today when I retried, it retrieved 25, but still no ABC. The ABC constitutes the bulk of what we watch! Although MediaPortal gave me many headaches, both versions detected the ABC channels with ease. I've tried (perhaps inadequately) searching this forum and not found anything related.
I did find this page: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...WithOTAEPG that recommends ticking Scan Offsets as that's required by some devices in UK and Australia. However that appears to relate to an old version of NexPVR—I can't find that option in the current version.
As the title states - NPVR is unable to detect the HDHR Connect Quatro running on my network.
I am running NPVR via Synology Docker. I ran through the install instructions twice, once with and once without the additional -env setting. Neither installation could detect my HDHR. The log snippet below shows the HDHR never seems to respond to the query. Perhaps I missed something during setup? The current container settings are attached.
Hello. I have two Twinhan 3250 ATSC TV tuner PCI cards. The drivers show up in Windows 7 32-bit as DVB-TV 878 Digital Capture Driver and DVB-TV 878 Digital Tuner Driver. There's two of each of those drivers. Two cards, four drivers. No yellow exclamation point errors or anything in Windows in Device Manager.
NextPVR only lets me use one card at a time. If I start a recording, it will then say tuner not available etc if I try to start a second recording or watch a live channel.
Swapping cards in the PCI slots doesn't help. Both cards work at the same time in Windows 7 Media Center. I'd rather use NextPVR than Media Center.
Right now, with nothing being recorded or being watched, NextPVR "show status" popup window shows both tuner cards and neither is shown to be doing anything. It all looks normal.
The channels and device settings seem fine. The ATSC part of both cards show Present and Enabled in NextPVR. I am guessing the Twinhan drivers and NextPVR have a conflict of some kind. Searching the forums, there's a couple threads about other cards working only one at a time but then sub changed something in NextPVR to get both working to compensate for the weird card driver.
I've been using NextPVR this way for months and just now upgraded NextPVR to 4.2.5. It still only uses one card at a time. I saved the logs about five minutes after trying two channels at a time again.
I'd consider switching to Linux if both cards would work, but these cards are so old (but have strong tuners) I'd be surprised if any drivers would work at all. They don't even work with 64-bit Windows 7, only 32-bit.
Was somewhat shocked to find that the old model of being able to access a backend from a frontend on a networked machine has evaporated after I "upgraded" to version 5.
Is this gone for good or is this being fixed, and if so is there an eta?
I just downloaded NextPVR after upgrading to Windows 10 and realized Windows Media Center does not work anymore. I have a cable box connected to my computer. I cant make anything happen. Thanks for the help
Using http://127.0.0.1:8866/index.html works when accessing my NextPVR install via a browser the macOS computer I installed it on.
Using http://192.168.1.8:8866/index.html works when accessing my NextPVR install via a browser from any other device on my home network.
Using that internal IP and the PIN allows Kodi to connect to my NextPVR install via the add-on from two Android TV devices and it works perfectly.
Neither my username, password or PIN are the default. All have been changed.
Even on computer where it is installed, playback fails via the browser...which doesn't really matter to me. Just providing as info. Some error code about the transcoder.
The issue I have is that I cannot access it when outside of my home network. Putting http://192.168.1.8:8866/index.html does nothing. Just sits there. When I scan the port while connected to my home network via the Network Utility app in macOS, it says that port 8866 is open. I just can't figure out why I cannot reach it from outside the network.
Hi Could somebody help regarding the loss of the channels I am experiencing at the moment.
My nearest connection is Crystal Palace. The device tries to search for channels but finds nothing . Then it gives a mesage to show the channels in Groups
The system has been working fine for a few days then all of a sudden whilst the channel are still showing in the devices the programmes have failed to lock onto the respective channels
