I have a system running Linux Mint (Mate) 19.3 with Nextpvr 5.0.6.2000614. Everything works very well except that
the channel order is all wrong. This the same as has been reported elsewhere, i.e. the channel order is numbered in
sequence by the order in which the mux's are scanned and in ascending frequency order within the mux. I have
increased scan drop time without effect. I was looking to look at npvr.log to try and ensure that the lcn's are
actually present, but I don't have an npvr.log. The only log files I have are device-adapter and nrecord logs. My
win10 system also with Nextpvr has this log as expected, and I can see the lcn's. How can diagnosis of this
problem be pursued without an nprvr.log ? Or am I missing something? I have done all previously suggested
fixes, delete all channels and re-scan (several times). The tuner is usb hauppauge dual HD. As I say everything
else works well. How can I get an npvr.log ? (or an equivalent log) Any help appreciated. Thanks.
I've got NPVR v5 set up on a Debian buster virtual machine. I followed the instructions here: https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Install-Linux. Everything seems to be working fine, except fort the recording auto transcode. I have VAAPI set up, and it works properly when I'm watching a channel from the web browser. VAAPI also works fine for transcoding in Jellyfin. It doesn't work for the NPVR recording auto transcode though. CPU encoding works, but my CPU isn't fast enough to keep up with multiple simultaneous recordings, so I'd really prefer to use VAAPI. If anyone could help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it. I've uploaded my zipped logs. Thanks for the help.
I'm hoping that someone here can help - so this is my issue - I have a dedicated PC to act as the NextPVR backend, it does nothing else except sit on my network and acts as the NextPVR server, it is an Intel Core i7-3770K, 8GB RAM, 480GB SSD (as system drive), 1TB Hard Drive (as recording drive), Windows 10 Pro x64. As I said this PC does nothing else except NextPVR, it just sits in the corner of the office 24/7. As recently as about a week ago, this PC was wiped & setup from scratch with a clean install of Windows 10 Pro x64 v2004, latest version of NextPVR & Private Internet Access VPN, there is no other software on this PC. I then use other PC's on the network running Kodi as my frontend. The problem I'm having is with the recording of the IPTV - Live TV is working great, the real issues seems to be with any recording of a program which is over 40 to 50 mins in length. I have a few programs that are setup with a recurring timer and these tend to be 30min in length, 99% of the time these recordings are fine, once I try to record anything over the 40 min mark then the issues arise. So for example - the F1 qualifying - an hour and a half in length, the Kodi frontend reports the right time of the recording, start to play and bang - approx 40min into playback it just stops. The same with the Indycar race from a night ago a 3 hour recording and I managed to watch approx 55min of that and then the same - it just stops and will not play anymore. I just can's seem to figure it out. The file does exactly the same in VLC player, plays to the same point and then just stops even though it reports the correct length of time at the start of playback. I've tried some video file repair tools but all they do is cut the file back to the time that the error occurs. I'm at a bit of a loss really!! I've attached the logs, just hoping that somebody way better at this stuff can point me in some direction.

I need some help with a consistent crash that I'm seeing with NextPVR.
When I try to watch a channel in web interface, it switches to the screen, displays the message "Starting device ..." and right after that windows crashes with a blue screen. It points to an issue with "AVerBDA716x_x64.sys". Running the memory dump through windbg confirms that.
The logs are attached and you can see the problem occur at "2020-07-19 13:32:31.430" in nrecord.log.1
This is consistently reproducible and in order to debug, I tried another program - SmartDVBx64 0.5.3.26. I didn't install it, just ran the portable version (so there is nothing copied/registry keys interference). Now here it gets interesting. If I run SmartDVB (and quit it) before watching anything in NextPVR (through web interface), NextPVR actually works. If I try to watch NextPVR before running SmartDVB, it consistently blue screens.
I was playing on my Roku and saw that the setting for Closed Captioning had three options: Off, On always and On rewind. The third option seems to turn on CC when you rewind or skip back, like if you couldn't understand what someone said and you go back to listen again. When it catches up to where you hit rewind, it turns them back off.
Last night I saw that I was running 5.02.x of the amd64 stable docker build and that it was current stable version was 5.06.x. Not having issues before, I killed my docker NextPVR and reran the cmdline that I use to grab the newest stable version. When that was a mistake!!!! My NextPVR docker his completely Fk'd!!! Using the cmdline script to create a new docker image shows this new NextPVR is fk'd. When I created a new docker, I can get into the website with the default user and password but when i go into settings, it shows the tabs on the left BUT THERE IS NO data on the pages. I can't configure the HDHOMERUN device, can't scan for channels, NOTHING, and this is a new docker !!!!!!
Before anyone freaks out this is the script I have been using to start a new docker session/update the NextPVR docker in unraid for the better part of a year and works flawlessly, well until 5.06 was published
Anyone with any ideas whats fk'd in thr config.xml that won't display the menuing system?
I have used zap2it to populate the xmltv.xml file on EPG update for several years now. I had two channels that changed digital location; these are mapped as KSEEDT and KFTVDT. After editing the digital tuning under Settings>Channels, I checked the devices and everything on both HD Homerun tuners shows correct frequency and SID. Bulk mapping shows xmltv as source and proper channel mapping. Then I emptied the EPG and updated it. The xmltv.xml file is now populated with guide data for all channels I follow, which is only 9.
The result is that only two channels appear in the guide now. 36.3 KFREDT and 36.5 KFREDT4. These are not the two I edited. 5 other unedited channels are no longer showing in NPVR along with the 2 edited ones. Logs attached. Thanks for looking.
