Hiya, I'm new to GBPvr and am very impressed with its capabilities. One thing I have noticed is that if you select a program from within the EPG screen and bring up the extra info it tells you the length of the program to the nearest minute (i.e. 60 mins).
However, when you search for a program by typing its name into the search guide when you find the program and bring up the extra info it gives you the length of the program to 0.0000000000001 of a minute
If I'm recording for instance a football match and it goes over its allotted time what will happen with the recording?
If you use a proper PVR it will extend the recording to cover it but is there any way that GBPvr can get the extra info to do the same from maybe the internet or via ntl?
I realise that EPG is not realtime so I assume it's the PDC info broadcast that gives a real PVR the added information to extend the recording.
Is there any info available that can be added to give GBPvr the same information?
If not for the DBox what about usng a DVB card for terrestrial channels as I'm adding one of those to my PC shortly?
I'm sure I managed before but now I don't seem to be able to change the order of the channels in the TV guide. I'm stuck with ITV1, ITV2 and ITV3 before BBC1 and BBC2 despite them having higher channel numbers in the 'Channels' list in Configuration.
i'm not sure what i've done to my Sports Scores plugin, but it has decided not to do what i've set it up to do. I only want it to show my favorite NFL scores, which i've set up...
however, it's showing me MLB scores (which i've turned off), and some canadian scores (which i've never used)
also, once i turn it off, it seems to come back eventually (maybe after i close gbpvr and reopen it)
I have album cover photos and movie photos on a lot of my music and movies where they are stored. I see a lot of the skin pics with these on them. How do I get them to show up inside of GBPVR? Do they have to be in a certain format?
What is the best / easiest tool to copy My DVD to mpg with subtitles if possible - so that I can have all my DVDs on the harddisk and easliy get them via MVP and GBPVR?
I've been trying to get my dirt-cheap KWorld USB receiver working with GBPVR. I've downloaded and installed the BDA drivers from the KWorld website, but I'd like some help in setting up the correct bda.ini entry.
The problem is that the same filter (which I think is actually a wrapper for the WDM drivers) is listed in GraphEdit under both the BDA Source and BDA Receiver sections. The attachment includes a screencap from the 'Insert Filters' section of GraphEdit, showing this. I set bda.ini to use KWorld MOD3000 TV receiver as both the TUNER and CAPTURE filter, and this results in it trying to load the same filter twice on scanning channels. The resulting filtergraph naturally won't play and ERROR_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED shows up in the config.exe-native.log. The same thing happens if I try to run bda.grf (included in the zip) through GraphEdit myself.
Any ideas on what filter I should specify instead? The BDA drivers seem to work, as I tested them with ScanChannelsBDA_EZ166.exe and it was able to tune into all the available channels. The inital section of that program's log reports the following:

I've had a problem with my setup lately. I have been using GBPVR for almost 2 years, but have had a problem lately. I reformatted my computer and think that may have cause the problem.
I have been using 2 cards one hauppauge PVR150 and a PVR250 (essentially the same card as I understand). Both were working fine for months, until I noticed that some recordings were just 'snow@, as though there was no antenna connected. Anyhow, through multiple changes of cards and testing, I have boiled it down to a bizarre problem. The PVR150 works fine on both live tv and recordings. The PVR250 works fine with live tv, but when I record something with this card and try to play it in GBPVR, all I see is 'snow'.
Some background <skip to 3rd paragraph if this is to much to read>
I'm a former BTV user who got fed up with BTV missing to many recordings. I gave Sage a shot but the picture was terrible, so I'm trying GBPVR - and so far, it's been the best of the three - and the picture is even better than BTV was.
Here's the problem: Anyway, one quirk I've noticed is that occasionally GBPVR will lock the PC & I have to restart to get out of it. I've narrowed it down to times when I'm either watching live TV or a currently recording show AND I hit to many remote buttons in succession (such as when trying to quickly skip through a commercial block), so for the most part I've been able to avoid this by skipping slowly when watching current shows.
I read in another thread that since it freezes the whole computer, it is likely a driver issue (didn't encounter freezing in BTV or sage though - doesn't mean the failure isn't in a driver though). Is there a way to detect where the failure occurs (does XP log any info that would be meaningful to the user)? Or is my best bet to update the different drivers one at a time & see if the problem goes away? I've already updated my video driver to the latest, next I'll try updating the drivers for my capture cards (WinTV PVR 150's)
As I stated above, I've been able to mostly avoid the issue by being careful with the remote (Firefly), but I'd like to fix it altogether if possible. I really like the software (Sage's picture wasn't up to snuff & BTV dropped ~ 1/3 of my recordings) and you can't beat the price .
If I can resolve this, I'd be more than happy to contribute a few $$ to the project.
Hi all,
I just upgraded my video card from a Radeon 9000 64 meg to a Radeon 9600xt 128 meg. Everything seems to be fine except my OSD. I was using VMR7 and that worked great with the old card (great picture/performance). After I installed the new card (and drivers((and I used drivercleaner))), the OSD was flickering. Everything else seems normal, playback is fine (no stuttering). So, I tried changing it to Overlay. The OSD does not flash, but I don't like the picture quality of the Overlay. It just doesn't look as good. The brights and darks just don't seem right. I have tried adjusting them via the video overlay settings on my video card, but they just never seem to look as good as the VMR7
So, my questions is, does anyone have any ideas for why the OSD would flicker with the new video card using VMR7?
