XRecord "Index was outside the bounds of the array Error" entering Videos menu
Posted by: jksmurf - 2006-08-24, 01:20 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

I am getting a "Index was outside the bounds of the array Error" entering videos from XRecord (latest (not WIKI Version), the one that doesn't exhibit the SQLITE Database Error.

This is a repeatable error, that happened after I did some Archiving to the Videos Folder (where I keep archived videos). I did a forum search and some of these errors are reported relating to the main program, but this only occurs when I try to access Videos from Xrecord. If I try to access the base Video Library" from the Main Menu, I get the normal list and can access all the saved files, including those archived by XRecord.

Logs attached if it helps, but I don't think so. No errors are reported there. I'm stumped ???

Failed recordings and cpu -> 100%
Posted by: gingerneil - 2006-08-23, 11:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (21)

Within the last week or so, my GBPVR has starting failing recordings. The recording will appear to start, the file will be created, but then the recordingservice will take up 100% of the CPU and stay there until I reset the PC. The GBPVR tray icon stays green during this time.

I have reinstalled GBPVR from the latest download, but this is still happening. Some recordings are OK, but most fail.

LiveTV works fine.

I have attached *all* of the logs - sorry if this is overkill!

Please help!

  NTL STB Channel Changing
Posted by: johnf - 2006-08-23, 09:06 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

I have a samsng NTL box that just refuses to change to any channel that has doulble digits i.e 11 BBC 3 144 E4. I am using the MCE with HIP with the replacement drivers. Apparently its to do with 'toggle codes' and its the main reason why I stopped using MCE.

Is anyone else using this setup and managed to get it working?
If so can I have your IR files?
Or do you have any tips?

  GBPVR Wiki - WTF???
Posted by: kaizen - 2006-08-23, 07:59 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Is the wiki hosted on a different server than the home page and forums? I ask because the performance/reliability of the wiki is, in a word, abyssmal. I can't understand why something so important top GBPVR's success as the wiki is continually either super slow or nonexistant most of the time.

What gives? I know it's not just me,half the devs here notice the same thing.

  VRM9 vs VRM9 Custom Renderer

Have search the boards but cant find out how these differ other than if you have a blank screen then try one of the other ones.

Still learning GBPVR only have a few issues left to sort Smile

  Freeze-up during Recorded Playback
Posted by: oddible - 2006-08-23, 04:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I cannot seem to playback any of my recordings in GB-PVR. The live tv and timed recording function worked successfully and created the recording in my expected location, I tested the mpg and it plays fine in Windows Media Player.

When I go to the Recordings menu and select a recording and chose Play, the video stutters for a bit, doesn't play any sound, then after a few seconds freezes the app - this happens almost always at the same spot (00:00:46). I can Alt-Enter and the app will window but won't shut down. I kill via Task Mgr and CPU for GBPVR.exe is always at about 50%. Note that if I click any buttons during the video (FF/RW) the app freezes at that spot and will no longer support Alt-Enter.

I have tried with multiple recordings and have rebooted. Playing recordings in the My Videos section seems to work fine.

Logs attached.

  Comskip and Transcoded files
Posted by: Dsmelser - 2006-08-23, 04:34 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (3)

I love my GB-PVR, I just wish I had a larger hard drive <grin>.

Is there a way to convert the mpegs into smaller files that use less disk space (divx, xvid, etc.) in a way that the comskip information still works?

I've not tuned my comskip settings so I don't want to strip out the commercials before converting.

Is there a way to automate this?

Thanks.

  Music Title info as screensaver?
Posted by: StanO - 2006-08-23, 03:08 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

I'm going to guess that it's not possible, but is it possible for one of the music plugins to be linked to the screensaver? That way you could play an album and it would display the track info as the screensaver ala digital satellite/cable subscribers get.

  Setup Keyboard shortcuts
Posted by: jonxm05 - 2006-08-23, 01:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi all

First of all I would like to mention that I have tried quite few PVR softwares and at the end of the day none of them are as good as GB-PVR. Sub and all of the others great Job

I have actually been around for quite a while but tis is my first post. Hopefully now that I have take the plunge it will be the first of many

I trying to setup Keyboard shortcuts for each of the items in the Main Menu. From what I have read its already available via function keys but you need to configure it relevant to the plugin's in the configuration files

Anyone wanna tell be what I need to do ?

Just an idea why not have have a shortcut ket setup option in the settings section of the plug-in page in the configuration utility

  TV-Out Resolution Problem
Posted by: mytv - 2006-08-23, 01:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I guess I am one of the lucky few. I am using the TV out of a PVR-350 card with no problems other than the outputed resolution while using GBPVR is larger than my TV display.
eg. all menus, recorded video, and live tv are larger in size than my screen. (all 4 sides). I am in 4x3 mode with a 4x3 TV and have tried using F7 to adjust aspect ratio.
Thank you for any help with this
