I have installed, re-installed, but it doesn't matter, the app will not run on my phone. I have searched the forum and I find it hard to believe that I am the only one that this is happening to. After trying to open it, it immediately shuts down. If I try 10 -15 times, maybe I can get it work for a bit. It is Android version 10, One UI version 2.1, Kernel version 4.14.117, knox version 3.4.1. I don't know what else you would need to evaluate this problem. Attached are the screens I eventually see from the continual crashes.
Been testing NPVR on multiple systems to see what works best for me. Is there any way to important channels from a linux db to windows database? I tried inserting channels table but that didn't see to work. Any ideas? Thanks!
I have just upgraded from V4 install using a forum guide to copy my config.xml and DB files over to V5.
Everything seems to have worked, and all my channels show up etc, but I am having issues getting IR Blasting working again under V5.
I have a combination of DVB-T NZ channels, and STB channels via set top box, via a Hauppauge Colossus capture card.
In Nextpvr v4, I configured the blaster configuration to use HaupBlast.exe to fire IR signals using the Hauppauge Colossus cards own IR blaster port.
In NextPVR, I found where to enter in blaster settings under 'Device' settings for the Colossus card, but when I select a channel sourced from my STB, no IR signals are blasted.
In my V4 config, the HaupBlast.exe was in my program files (x86) folder, so I just copied that file into the same folder in NextPVR 5.
If I open a command prompt, and navigate to that folder, and type Haupblast.exe 1, it works, and I see my STB change channels, but when I use nextpvr 5 to select channel, I get no channel change.
My blaster config line is 'C:/Program Files (x86)/NPVR/HaupBlast.exe with {channel} parameter.
It seems to have saved the blaster configuration for all the channels, and they say 'Haupblast.exe 1' 'Haupblast'.exe 2' etc etc.
Just found out that I am not able to watch two EXTRA device channels from two different clients at the same time. when Tuning to a second channel while watching one already, NextPVR returns an error immediately (nrecord.log shows a 404 Not found error). However, watching the same channel from two different clients is allowed.

BTW, The issue doesn't exist for over the air channels.
I do not know what happened. I had a working setup and suddenly it stopped working.
There is nothing I can point to and say "I did that" so have no roll back plan. Only option may be Windows updates. <shrug>
When I tried to play a channel I would get a message starting device and nothing beyond that. I went to the settings page and all my channels were still listed. I changed USB ports and Windows pop up indicated successful addition so I tried to set up the new device but it would not find any channels.
In the end I deleted NextPVR and reinstalled. There is now just one DVB-T device and the IPTV listing as well but still no channels being found.
Logs attached.
Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction.
Found an issue regarding channel grouping today. Not sure if it's the same issue described in this thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...nnel+group since sub said the issue in the thread had been fixed by next release but I am running the latest release 5.0.6 already.
the issue is, I have created several groups and picked channels to each group, then I want to delete the channels from one of the EXTRA devices and re-scan the device (to update a change in command line arguments), however after the delete/re-scan is done, all the grouping information is gone, every group is empty except "All Channels" group. the issue can be easily reproduced by performing the steps above. Hopefully a fix will be produced in the next release.
I have tried searching for solutions but I have not found anything. Maybe I am using the wrong search terms.
I have a Windows install and comskip is running just fine in parallel with recordings. The Windows client will show and skip commercials using the comskip data, the web player however does not. Is there something I am not doing or is this not a current feature with the web player?
I am trying to sort out a few things on my install of NextPVR (originally Version: 5.0.5.200518, now updated to 5.0.6.200614) on Kubuntu 18.04 (not using Docker) [(UK based)
So far in terms of recording, NextPVR has proved the most reliable system to use my DVB stick receiver (Hauppage WinTV Nova-T) . Thank you.
However, I have struggled to get genre showing on the search drop down.
Hence I upgraded (first response from support is usually to upgrade to latest version).
Now I cannot get any EPG data.
The only change on the system is the upgrade (the PC is not used for anything else, other than browsing).
The old EPG data ran out earlier in the week [originally the TV Guide was blank after the last programme] and
- rescanning EPG,
- rescanning channels then EPG,
- rescanning devices then channels then EPG
has not resolved the problem (with reboots between). Now the TV Guide just shows 'no listings', though the system suggests EPG etc exist (see attachment).
Up until the 'old' EPG data ran out the system was showing EPG and recording successfully (direct and scheduled). (Live TV was bit hit and miss but I do not use that)
Watching live TV now shows data being received but not image/sound. No programmes in the TVGuide means I cannot test recording that way.
Where should I find the EPG data (filename and location)?
Where can I begin looking to identify the issue, given it was working OK until recently (other than the lack of genres).
(guessing the nrecord.log or the /var/opt/nextpvr/logs/device-adapter.log)
I have looked in the Linux forum without success, but forgive me if I have missed something, being new to NextPVR.
Incidental: I tried raising the scan time for EPG to 120 secs, but when I rescanned it still showed only 60 secs.
