I have tried to set 'Melbourne' and also All regions - Australia several times and both don't map the correct channels to their numbers. Is there an updated database available?

hi sub,

i had some issues with some channels showing no data in the epg, and some saying rescan.
i was comparing with the channel list returned by my old system.
i think some of the channels had changed.
i tried to go into devices and update the channels, but on clicking the device name, i got a black window, with the menu above and left.
i thought this might be because some of the tuners were in use, so i waited till none were busy.
same result.
i tried deleting one device, and scanning again, which returned the device, and then tried clicking that device to scan for channels - black window again.
then i deleted all devices, and scanned again, now all of the devices give a black screen and i have no channels.
i have attached verbose log files in case that helps.

Are the command line options described in the V4 Wiki still available with the V5 desktop app?

I was playing around  with auto-map and auto-merge and managed to somehow get 4 duplicate channels listed in my tv guide. I have two hdhomerun duals connected - so, I think that it is listing one channel listing for each tuner. For example, I have four channel 4s and four channel 6s and so on. Could you please tell me how to correct this situation. Thank you very much.

Can an option be added to only scan for FTA channels.
When I do a Sat>IP scan it gets everything and the way the scan window is you can't easily see which is encrypted and which isn't.

   

I can copy the details bit and paste it into notepad or something to see if it has (Encrypted) at the end but if i didn't have to that would be great.

I read somewhere on this bulletin board that the linux version of NextPVR does not have any recording options using the web interface or maybe it was the non-web interface -(I cannot remember because I uninstalled it)? I was just wondering if this is still true? I had installed it and could not get any recording options. I love the many recording options on NextPVR for Windows -for example, record using a particular channel. I recently bought a raspberry pi 4 and tried to port it and to my dismay, those recording options were not there.

sometimes (it happends 3 or 4 times for two months) recording is stuck before ending time

There are occasions where I can begin watching live TV and then decide to record the program by using Ctrl-K. When this happened, V4 simply "forked" the tuner output into the recording file and the playback display simultaneously. V5 does not do this. Pressing Ctrl-K begins use of a 2nd tuner for the same channel..  Why does this happen? I use this functionality with live TV in order to know when to begin recording. If my other tuners are currently busy, I'm out of luck. V4 handled this functionality quite nicely.

Is there some configuration setting that I can set to recover this behavior?

I have a completely repeatable problem with scheduled recordings
If I try to use my pc while it is recording then the recording stops

Am I really the only person with this issue?

New Asus Z490 chipset motherboard
Hauppauge Quad TV card

This is what I did

Complete keep nothing install of windows 2004 on new ssd
Load Hauppauge drivers from their web site
Install NextPVR
Using web app
 - scan for devices
 - scan for channels
 - set a program in the guide to record
 - leave everything else at the default

Let computer sleep
--
At the correct time the computer wakes from sleep and starts recording (disc light flashing but screen remains blank)
If I  then move mouse - screen comes up to lock screen
Sign in to my account 

At this point the tray icon is green and tells me correctly that nothing is being recorded
The recording has stopped
The recording is there and recorded up until the time I used the computer

I have only used the web app
This happens every time I try
The only thing I am doing which might be different to most is using a local windows account
