Was thinking about joining a Music download site, downloading lottsa MP3 oldies and playing them back on GBPVR. Been looking at Rhapsody, Napster etc. I would rather not pay per song, as this could get expensive.

Just wondering what Internet Music download service provides the best selection at a reasonable cost.

Will this plugin only work under the blue skin?
When I try to use running BlueMCE2, I get the object not set error and there is an error showing in the logs at GBPVRUIelements.

Noob here - great software if only I can get this last feature to work!!!

Got the EPG recording progs great. But I can't get a recorded program to play when its in dvr-ms format?!

Its not a bitrate problem as mpgs play at high bit rates - 2-3000. Its a 54G network with full signal between the router and server and the MVP is wired to the router.

What am I doing wrong with the transcode??? All I get is a blank screen, an occasional play icon and often a resetting MVP and connecting servers...

I'm using an HVR-900 and have tried transcode delays up to 11000. It can't be a PC issue as I'm using a dual core opteron 165 oc'd to 2.4ghz with a gig of ram, a 250g spinpoint sata data drive with a seagate baracuda sata os drive!!!

i just upgraded to this new version and first i couldnt get in to liveTV
said something about that the hardware denied it, so i thought i would reboot.
i did and no i can hear the audio and change channels, but i dont get any picture. the only thing i see is the screen where i clicked 'Live TV'.
i cant view any already recorded things either, about a 1second after i click 'Play' it just pops back to the info about it.

I got a hauppauge 500 and previous version was 0.96.12

anyone had this once and fixed it?

I'm using the PVR350 which has a very good picture quality on the TV-out. Unfortunately, sub stopped the support for this feature a long time ago because of the buggy drivers fromm Hauppauge. Now I'm searching for another solution which provides at least a quality that comes near to the Hauppauge. Has anybody an idea? (I do not want to a MVP).

Right now, I'm working on the interface. I want to do something like an on-screen keyboard or maybe something like an "enter your initials" screen on a video game.

Anyway, I'm working in the render() member function of my class that inherits IMenuTask. Obviously I could just use all the various Drawing functions and key trapping functions and cobble together my own interface. I get the feeling though that there's a way to simplify this.

So basically, what's the best way to go about drawing an interface with various lists and text inputs and what not, and how do skins fit into this picture?

When I installed the latest version of VA onto my fresh system install, gbpvr will either take ~1min-10min to load or not load at all. What could be causing this? Its a new windows install, I made sure to install .Net 2.0. Are there any other prerequisites I'm missing to run the plugin? Thanks!

EDIT: Well I'm not sure what I changed but I went through and disabled/reenabled plugins and fiddled with the VA options and now its working properly

I am using v0.97.13 with an MVP. I saw in the list of changes:

- Fixed a bug with the <SubtitleDelay> and <SubtitleDelayMVP> settings being ignored when playing back recordings.

However, I can't get either of these settings to make a difference with when the subtitles start with the internal SRT viewer (they're about 10 seconds too early). Do these settings indeed work?

CNN (http://www.cnn.com) currently offers video news on their website. The popups that are used to display the video uses windows media player.

My Question:

Would it be possible for a plugin to search the cnn home page and category pages, look for the little video icon that precedes every video link, access the popup and then stream the video in gbpvr? (This all depends on cnn keeping the video icon the same.)

I just recently began to learn C# so this won't be something that I'll be working on soon...

This is probably a stupid question, but is there a way to switch from the menu screen back to the video you were watching. IE, I am watching live tv and I press the menu button to check on something else. meanwhile the video is still playing on the main menu screen to the right of the menu. What button can I press on the hauppauge remote to go back to full screen mode video.
