I'm on a Windows 8.1 machine and I have NextPVR installed and it sees my tuners and I have the channels for my area loaded into NectPVR but using my Schedules Direct account I can't get it to download any EPG data. It takes my login info but does nothing with it. I've uninstalled and re-installed NextPVR several times and nothing changes
Can anyone explain the logic behind the Channel numbering ?
I am using nextPVR v4.2.5 (having recently replaced Windows Media Center).
I've just retuned today as I receive from Sandy Heath and they've just done another "Post 700MHz clearing" change.
In case it's relevant, I am using a TBS 6280 Dual DVB-T2/T BDA card
I'm confused by the channel numbering, many channels do not appear at the same number as _ALL_ my other freeview devices. It's a bit troubling when you are used to typing in say number 107 (BBC News HD) only to have nothing appear. At first I thought that it had failed to tune it but I found it at channel 793!!
NextPVR running properly and TV Guide with EPG loaded fine.
there is channels i can watch now (live streaming) and its playback properly in NextPVR
issue #1
some channels when click 'Watch now' i get error: Failed to start requested stream Note: i have tested the streaming links in VLC and its playback properly so its not the provider issue
issue #2
Recorded streams stored in default path but unable to playback in NextPVR i also get error:Failed to start requested stream Note: when i downloaded ts file its playback properly in VLC
looks like issue with ffmpeg argument command line
i have attached logs.zip with two log files regarding the issues
I've installed NextPVR on my mac (OS 10.14.6).
My SAT>IP box is recognized instantly, but when I try to scan for channels on Astra 19.2E nothing is found.
Currently I'm useing the DVBLink software as backend for Kodi wich does find the channels, but I'm looking for an alternative.
Under version 5.0.6.200614, Windows 7, at http://127.0.0.1:8866/settings.html#, under Devices.... I'm unable to use the UP and DOWN arrows to the right of each device to change priority order.
I have 4 devices listed, and the only arrows clicked that actually work are the DOWN arrow of the top-most device, and the UP arrow of the second-to-top-most device. The other devices remain in the same position when clicking either of their arrows. Same problem occurs using Chrome and Firefox.
Whether the device is disabled or not, has no effect on this mis-behaviour.
I finally got around to trying my Hauppauge HVR-2250 on Win10 Pro with NextPVR 4.2.5. I cancelled the cable quite a while ago and we have been using this card for ATSC in a Win7 Pro PC for ~9 years.
I installed Hauppauge WinTV v7 on Win10 from the CD I had and that seems to work. But a scan only finds three ATSC stations (WCCO 4.1 and it's related stations 4.2 and 4.3). They are on frequency 32. WinTV only scans ch 2-51. I get the same results doing a scan from NextPVR, although that seems to scan up to ch 69.
In Win7 it finds 68 stations (many are junk), but it finds all the local ATSC stations we use.
I feel like I'm missing something basic with the Win10 system. Any thoughts?
I have a Hauppaug 4 channel PCIE tuner card on ubuntu 20.04. I've followed the hauppaug linux install instructions and installed the next pvr client as instructed in this forum. However, the devices are showing as "unavailable" and when I try to scan for channels, nothing happens (I'm selecting the us-ATSC-centerfrequencies-8VSB option). I've attached all the log files I currently have. Thanks
Would it be possible to add a option to set what the "default" recording type is under the advanced recording page? Currently it defaults to "Record Series (all episodes)". I'd like to have it default to "Record Once" as I usually use the option when scheduling on off sports events and want to add some pre and post padding. It's bit me more than once when I later find I accidentally overlooked changing the type to "record once" and I get a whole slew of unintended recordings. I know this won't be everyone's favorite, but maybe a setting in the config so everyone can set their own preference?
