My apologies if this is a dumb question but I want to make sure I understand things before moving to v5.
I have read as much as I can find relating to upgrading and also watched the videos Sub posted re setting up via the browser interface. I have a very simple setup, an Intel NUC running native NPVR v4, receiving an OTA signal and feeding a single TV via HDMI. I (and more importanly, the other half) really like the NPVR interface and feel no need to use Kodi or similar.
Nothing I have read really mentions the new Windows client and the videos show all the EPG display, setting recordings etc. being done in the browser. Once setup, can all this be done, as now, in the client? Does the client have the same look/feel/function as v4? Once set up will we actually have to do anything differently? Can I access the settings menu in the client?
Sorry again, if I have missed anything obvious but any help/advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Hello
Please can somebody help me.I have have two tuners and one of them has dropped out of the pvr devices set up and I cannot seem to get it back. My two tuners are blackgold DVB S2 and T2/T/C. Software is all up to date.
I have attached my logs.
Thank you
I am usually fairly good at troubleshooting problems but this one has me foxed and I would be grateful for any assistance please!
I have upgraded to V5 and have it all running OK with 4 tuners installed in my HTPC - 2 x DVB T2 and 2 x DVB S2 on blackgold cards.
Live TV is set up and running OK as is the EPG and I can record across multiple channels, with no issues. However... when I put the HTPC to sleep, that's when the problems start.
It will wake for scheduled recordings but I then get a failed recording with the 'streaming failed (transcoder exited)' error. It would appear that for some reason, when the PC wakes from sleep, it loses all the tuners. I have tried a batch file that restarts the NPVR service on wake, but without success.
I would be extremely grateful for any thoughts and assistance anyone might be able to offer?
Just to add to the above, I have the latest drivers installed for the Blackgold cards and have also tried using Devon.exe to disable then re-enable the cards on wake but again, without success.
I want to ditch WMC but I've grown very accustomed to how it works and looks. I set my EPG data to download 21 days at a time so I can look ahead at what I want to record so I don't have to think about it every day. I also like that I can click on a channel and scroll through just the shows on that channel 21 days out.
I like NextPVR and I want to use it in EMBY so is there a way to download more than 24 hours of EPG data to the guide and then view ahead like in WMC?
There are lots of things I like about NextPVR, especially that it records Transport Stream format which means I can directly edit the files before I compress them but if I can't schedule recordings for movies more than 24 hours out it has limited use for me .
So I have installed and scanned for all of the channels available over QAM and have used Schedules Direct for all of the regular cable channels but we have about 20 in house generated channels that we distribute around our building and I would like to have something more than "No Listing" on the screen for those channels. is there an EASY way to add this custom EPG data? some kind of scheduler that I can update saying that on friday at 9pm we will have such and such a program on? This is not data that I need or could use a grabber for as my channels are not listed Anywhere in the world. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
after tvmosaic is dead now for quite a while and the activation of their EPG-Service (the integration of native EPG is crap) no longer worked after I upgraded my hardware, I wanted to switch to NextPVR.
But it doesn't find any channels... The card (all four tuners) are found, but when I start a channel search nothing happens, no error etc.
Log files are attached:

...but they don't say a lot either...

I have been trying to get VideoredoTVsuite4 to find ads by a Postprocessing.bat file.
I started out putting the script in 'C:\Program files\NextPVR\data\scripts' as per the file 'placeholder.txt' in that folder.
This didn't work so I looked in the log and it seemed to be looking for the file in 'C:\Users\Public\NVPR-data\scripts'
so I put it there, and now it seems to be activated at the end of a recording as expected - but still not working correctly.
Is this the correct folder? perhaps that 'placeholder.txt' is a relic from the past.
I am planning on finally migrating to V5 from V4. Before I get rid of my V4 installation, is there any way to preserve the quite extensive recording schedule that already exists in V4 to V5? It must be stored somewhere, right? I have searched everywhere in the forum and can't seem to find the answer to this. Thank you.
I noticed I have thousands of logos in my /channels folder, due to adding some IPTV channels.
If i delete the IPTV device, will that remove the logos, or will I have to do it manually?
If I need to do it manually, can you suggest some shortcut that might make it easier.
Thanx!
