The results of using the Search feature of the Web App shows almost all needed information except the actual channel number. This is a vital piece of information in that there are many stations that supply identical content to both hi-def and std-def channels. The search results page will show identical program info for both channels but there is no way to tell the hi-def source from the std-def.
Could a channel column be added? Or may be a way to specify which definition content to search for?
This has not happened before. I can pick up frequencies with my TV that I am not picking up through Next. I was even picking it up with Next before I did a recan. Can I add a channel manual and add the frequency?
I have used NextPVR for years, and lately it has failed more than it has succeeded. I assumed that the problem was hardware, so today inserted a new Hauppauge Quad-HD card. I tuned the WinTV-10 software to get the available channels here, and Hauppauge WinTV-10 will play the live TV in the channels I most want to watch. I also upgraded NextPVR to the current version (begins with 191) and tried to watch. Only a black screen. Is there something I need to do in order to access the hardware with NextPVR? It's a wonderful program, but right now there's a problem I can't diagnose.
Brand new install of NextPVR on Ubuntu. When I go to devices, I have an IPTV device, along with my HDHR's. Is the IPTV device built-in? I don't have any IPTV devices on my network AFAIK.
I am running the lastest version of NextPVR on a Raspberry PI 4.
I was able to record one show at a time successfully about 5 or 6 times.
I am using a USB connected Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD to record ATSC.
When I tried to record 2 shows at the same time ... the RPi crashes and I have to reboot or the root disk becomes unmounted and I don't have access to any commands.
The only way to get out of this situation is to reboot.
The message I get when i run a simple ls command : the message I get is bash: /bin/ls: Input/output error.
HI
Wondered if somebody could help with the query below.
I have recently uploaded Next pvr client to use with blackgold 2 tuners. In the past I have successfully used windows media player which has been deleted from windows 10, so is no longer available. When trying to add the tuners in settings in devices and channels when in next pvr client, the page takes me to a log in npvr page which I have not seen before. How do I log in and add my devices.
Thanks
I'm considering alternatives to Xfinity, and wondering if there's a solution that I can use to capture or use Direct TV as a source. I'd prefer it to be reliable and relatively simple. Any tuner or other hardware out there that can do this?
thanks, Jake
I am new. But I had this working on Windows before trying on my Linux install.
When I go to Devices, I only see the HDHR devices, not the ones that work. In Windows, I initially tried the ones that were listed as HDHR, but through searching, finally found out that those are the wrong ones, and switched to the other devices listed, and everything started working great. In Ubuntu, all I see are the ones that are listed as HDHR in the first column. I tried them, but they don't work.
HDHomeRun Config Gui see's all of them. Not sure what is up...any ideas?
