The link http://gbpvr.com is now redirecting to http://gbpvr.com/apache2-default/ which is the default Apache page. Can someone correct this please.

Cheers, Ulrich

  After Reinstall No Tuner Available
Posted by: zehd - 2006-05-29, 06:06 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I've been fighting with 97.7 and now I just have to sleep and hope that someone else has an Idea...

After I reinstalled windows and GB-PVR 97.7, all is well except there's no tuners available.

I have two PVR150MCE

I've tried reinstalling the drivers, going back to the ones that came with the card. For the longest time I thought the card wasn't even working, but there's a test capture program with the Hauppauge CD that showed me some picture...

I've even tried and resintalled 96.12 (cheating) same thing... That sort of points out that it's not a GB-PVR version thing.

I'm at a loss. Everything was so easy for me, a few months ago, I suspect there were somethings that worked, that I was taking for granted..

What do you think I'mn over looking?

  live tv and 97.7
Posted by: two55309 - 2006-05-29, 03:51 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I just upgraded to 97.7. now, live tv is having problems. it will show a blank screen (i.e. black) for about 3 seconds and then stutter through live tv for about 10 seconds. then the everything catches up. i saw catches up because it will display the osd from when the channel was changed there. after that everything seems to be okay.

i've tried switching from vm9 to vm7 to osd and the all do it. all works okay if i uncheck use live tv preview if possible, but changing channels then takes forever. i have also tried different video and audio decoders, but they all sta the same. the sound works fine, it's just the video lagging.

any ideas?

  Can't get gb to work
Posted by: fanleaf - 2006-05-29, 02:01 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (17)

I just d/l gb and installed but cannot get TV to work. I have Hauppage WinTV PVR USB2 with all updates current, which works fine but lacks functionality of gb. Here's the skinny:
1. Setting up Direct Recording Window - I get message "Drivers for the device do not seem to be installed"
2. Capture Card Type - Tried both Hauppage Wintv pvr usb2 and its sister pvr2 - both prodisc message "No known cards detected in this machine"
3. Recording Source: Direct recording plugin. Same message.
4. If I click on Live TV in Main Menu I get message "Failed to locate configured capture device.

If i switch over to the Hauppage WinTV 2000 application everything works fine. So I guess my ques is - what can I do to get gb up and running.

Running WinXP Pro all updates current 1 gig mem, 2.5ghz
Thanks for any help. fanleaf
PS I read thru the wiki and applied all suggestions there but didn't help.

  Channel Freq. Problem
Posted by: gameshowlover72 - 2006-05-29, 01:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have had this issue for a while. I am hoping someone can help me with it. I am in the USA..Phoenix, AZ area. When I use the tuning assistant and scan channels...using antenna, Channel 5 (KPHO) is correct with a 77250000 frequency. However, when I scan using the cable setting, Channel 5 shows up as the same frequency as Channel 3, 61250000. As a result, with the cable setting, I can't watch Channel 5. Can anyone help or is there a way to fix this frequency problem? Thanks!

  Channel Affiliate Information in details
Posted by: lingenfr - 2006-05-29, 01:43 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I would like to see the channel and station information added to the information that is displayed when a program is selected in TV Guide. Basically, I would like the same information displayed in TV Guide that is displayed in the OSD Guide in Live TV. Once you put in all of your logos to TV Guide, there is no where to determine the channel number, etc. That makes it a bit less useful as a TV Guide. Thanks.

Guide Showing In GBPVR, not in WebAdmin
Posted by: mikeneron - 2006-05-29, 01:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

When I open up the GBPVR program and go to TV Guide, everything looks good. But when I open up webadmin and go to the TV Guide there (Guide.aspx), everything is just blank. There are also additional channels in the webadmin guide that don't show in the GBPVR guide. I tried manually updating the epg manually, but that didn't work. Any ideas?

What plugin do you use to downoad your zap2it guide to your GBPVR...do you just use the zap2it plugin or do you use xmltv? I have had trouble lately getting my guide to automatically update and have had to do it manually in order to keep it up-to-date. I just use the zap2it, but have been thinking of switching to something like xmltv.

Mike.

  Updating epg
Posted by: Paul D. Bellamy - 2006-05-28, 08:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (26)

I'm using GBPVR, 0.97.07. I previously downloaded and installed .net V2. When I try to update EPG, with my Norton Internet Security disabled (which is the way I have always had to do it), I do not succeed, but get a long note which begins: "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Check the EPG source setting and try again. The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error". This is followed by a lot of technical data.

Everything looks OK with the EPG source setting. I haven't changed that for months.

I had a similar problem like this several months ago. It turned out to be a problem with Zap2it. I have not changed my configuration for several months.
Any suggestions? Will this all straighten out after the holidays? I'd like my GBPVR running again.

Tnx, Paul.

  TV Tuner
Posted by: bits4bites - 2006-05-28, 07:51 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Hello All,

I've been using my Hauppauge 350 for a while now, I know the latest version of GB-PVR no longer supports it so I'm taking suggestions for a new tuner.

The one feature I do use is the tv output. Are there any other cards out there that are compatable with (and will continue to be compatable with) GBPVR that has an excellent TV output option?

~Bits

  Reinstalling Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2
Posted by: lingenfr - 2006-05-28, 06:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Like the subject says. I moved my device to another port and now GBP says it can't find it. I did a complete reinstall of my WinTV (complete w/ HCWClear). I got into config and try to add the capture card. GBP says it can't find a card. If I select the PVR USB2, it says the drivers are not loaded. What do I do? I am running the latest GBP 97.7. Thanks.
