I built my HTPC a few weeks ago before I got digital cable. I set everything up for OTA channels and it worked fine. Now I have the digital cable and no matter what I try, GBPVR only "sees" the original OTA lineup. I've tried everything I know how to including removing and re-installing GBPVR but the problem persists.
If I run the Tuning Assistant, it DOES see the cable channels correctly...
I'm using TVxb to scrape my schedule but when i update and view it, it is a whole day behind. I need to look in tomorrows time slot to see todays schedule.
Removed bitrate from screens - library seems to hang on some files it doesn't error out
Some MP3' length files can't be retrieved from the library either meaning they had to be re-read all the time, made these MP3's have a length of 1 so they wont be re-read everytime they are opened.
Updated the Skin files to add a default image to the library screen as well.
No DB changes
Changed random code so that with "new playlist set" it grabs the next set of tracks on the last track, rather than waiting for the end of playing - done for the MVP
Made a configuration option for how to generate a random playlist, leave off for taking what is currently selected. Note: Jukebox mode ignores this setting
Checked playlist loading code, took off the verification of a valid playlist (EXTM3U), sorted out the checking of tracks since it wasn't working properly.
Fixed MVP code for the currently playing track, it was never being updated.
Skin File changes
Reordered the button keys down the bottom to replicate the Hauppauge 45 button remote.
GBPVR newbie and first time poster here. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions for improving readability of the menus and TV Guide in low-res situations. Perhaps a custom skin or larger font?
I am accessing GBPVR via slingbox on my mobile phone and media playback is great but I'm having a hard time reading the menus, TV guide and OSD.
I have searched the forums and it seems like some people are using ORB for mobile streaming. I'd like to stick with slingbox because it allows me to use the native GBPVR interface on my MediaMVP and I'd rather stick with one app for my PVR/media needs. Also, I don't know if there will be conflicts (i.e. using ORB to watch video using the capture card and GBPVR is scheduled to start a recording at the same time).
I've attached 2 pictures, but they are really out of focus so I don't know if they will help much. I've tried every option on my camera but I can't figure out how to take a good close-up pic. The first one is of the TV Guide. The second is a video stream.
All was well with my machine until something bad happened on 4/11 or 4/12. Beginning on one of those days, comskip has begun hanging up and crashing my machine when attempting to process recordings of shows that it's never had a problem with before.
I've upgraded to the latest versions of comskip and GBPVR in an attempt to remedy the problem, but still the same results. Any thoughts as to what I might try?
Comskip hangs up the same way whether I run it manually or automatically.
Symptom: If I try to change channels while watching TV, the TV app crashes and I drop back to the previous screen -- either the main menu or the EPG depending on how I started the TV show.

Also, I know that xsearch has an OSD keyboard, but I would like the regular search guide to have an OSD. The less plugins I need to install the better.
Alright I have just found out about this pvr software and am excited to try it out because MCE is giving me a problem. My problem is this...I have a pvr-150 and AiW 9600xt. Now I'd like to use my pvr-150 for all livetv and recorded tv. The only thing i want to use the AiW for is the radio feature. Now is that possible with this gbpvr?
I installed GBPVR yesterday, and am very pleased with it so far. I just have a couple of questions.
Is there any way of starting (or queueing up) a recording from the command line?
Is there a way of importing recordings (.avi's) I've made using another PVR program (Showshifter) into the Recordings database? Is that the same as Rectracker? Am I right in thinking that Rectracker keeps a database of all recordings so as to avoid duplicates, and if so, can I import my previous recordings into it, to avoid recording stuff I've already got?
And lastly - is there a way to assign/search on categories (drama, film etc) in GBPVR ( I haven't got round to installing/playing with plugins yet, and the answer to this may very well be there...)
