I'm looking for a skin (or possibly just a mod to an existing one) that will show both the channel name/number and the icon in the TV Listings.
I figured out how to get the channel icons to show up, but this replaces the name/channel number.
The wife likes the way ExpressVu has relabelled all their channels to indicate the feed, ie: 288 ABC-W Indicating the West Coast feed of ABC. She has no idea that KOMO is the same thing.
Since the EPG shows the actual feed callsign with the number, I'd like to add graphics beside this to give her a guide that is similar to the one ExpressVu provides.
I just upgrade my GBPVR from V0.95.16 to 0.96.12 and using fixed channel, and external tunner as my capture card option. I'm using USB-UIRT as my channel changer and WinFast PVR2000 as a capture card. Now, every time I change channel in LiveTV, GBPVR recording service send the request to USB-UIRT to change channel and also change the capture card channel (instead of having the channel fixed). Do anybody having a same problem with me or did I do some thing wrong here. I didn't have any of this problem with 0.95.16

GBPVR on PIII 450 still up and running
I've been working on my USB-UIRT setup and have been having all kinds of problems.
I thought I'd start a new thread since the other thread really didn't start out as a USB-UIRT issue. I'm hoping others who have experience with USB-UIRT will see it more easily since its a new topic.
Here's the older thread starting at page 4 when I first got into the USB-UIRT. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=5189&page=4
I did talk to Jon at USBUIRT.com and he gave me an older driver to try, which didn't affect things. I also used his tester program which seemed to test out fine when I held the remote within 3-4" of the IR sensor.
Basically, I have it working except that 1) as soon as I reboot my computer OR 2) go into GB-PVR config to make a change, I have the 99% CPU problem again and it doesn't work anymore.
To get it to work again, I have to uninstall the USB-UIRT device in device manager and reboot the computer when it prompts me. As the computer comes up, it sees that the USB-UIRT is attached asks to install the software. I install the software and everything works great until I either reboot or go into config again. I already have the usb-uirt-remote.ini file in there all set from previous attempts so I don't need to relearn any buttons.
My .ini file only contains 2 sets of numbers for each button now. Before, when I would miss a button or possibly doublepush one, I would relearn the button and that would start giving me more sets of numbers which doesn't seem correct. Attached is my new .ini file.
Does anyone have any experience with lower quality audio from both music and recordings when playing back via the MVP?
I suspect its a device issue and I'm about to check with the default Hauppauge software; if it is are there any config tweaks in GBPVR that could help? Similart to those that adjust the brightness on the MVP etc.
Sometimes i have not good sound on a recording,no matter witch channel, but after a half hour recording ,the sound is back ok.Sometimes the hole program is with bad sound .It is not like a machinegun sound.Just like you set the sound to high on the volume with bad speakers.(not dificould to say this in englisch)
Sometimes (most off the recordings)is everything ok.
There are 2 pvr 150 with ,the only for me working driver,2.0.28.23053
I'm trying to play a 624x352 Xvid on my 4:3 tv. GBPVR scales the image to fill the entire screen, which of course results in a wrong aspect ratio.
How can I tell GBPVR to keep the original aspect ratio of the file?
I have tried the <MVP16x9Mode>-parameter, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
hi everyone. i'm in the midst of building my dream pvr. here's what i'm hoping gb-pvr can do for me besides recording and pausing tv.
1. browse and play back my dvd collection that has been backed up as iso
2. browse and play back mp3s and playlists
3. browse and show pictures
4. picture slide shows with music background and transition fades
5. browse and play back a variety of multimedia files (avi, mpg, wmv, etc)
these are the core functions i'm hoping gb-pvr can do (everything else it can do will be icing on the cake). could you kind users please suggest plug-ins for the above? i would like to get a good sense of the better plug-ins available so i don't have to try each one and end up messing up my installation.
In a fit of upgrade fever, I upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR.
Now, when I click on Recordings, I get the message:
Error: Specified Cast is not valid
The microsoft mce remote then stops working. I am running revens current XMLTV program and this error shows up whether I am running Contour or the standard skin. The TVGUIDE works ok
Playing back recordings no longer map the recorded MPEG2 576i rows to the screen 576 pixel rows. This was previously working on 0.96.8 and if rollback to that old version all works fine again. This is easy to prove for me because I do not use any deinterlacing to my SDTV which means if you instead watch it on a monitor you can see the interlacing on each row when movement occurs (I'm using the scrolling text on the C4 Select show as my reference recording which clearly shows the interlacing). On 0.96.8 the scrolling text has clearly defined squared steps between the lines, however on 0.96.12 the scrolling text is all blurred.
I'm using standard VMR9, but have also tried VMR7 and Overlay with the same result. I have removed all aspect ratios except for 0,0,1,1 and also tried disabling the overscan-video option, but no difference.
