I was going to watch, when I saw this recording file MVP000DFE003627.mpg (374 kb) in recording folder. As you can see it's indicating a recording using my MVP and it's MAC address for it's filename. Anybody encountered this, I have no idea where it got this, as obviously it's not part of my tv guide. Btw, the file is a broken file, I tried executing and would not load in WMP.
I am now having the problems with my GBPVR only when trying to view LiveTV. The video will freeze immediately to the first screen. The sound continues to play in the background. If I put the show into timeshift mode, everything plays well. If I play a recording, everything plays ok. It is just LiveTV. Am I having a codec issue?
I recently had to do a clean install of Win XP home edition and when I went to reinstall GBPVR, I get an "error 1935" with a hex result of "0x8002802f" Any thoughts on how to get my software installed?
Hmmm..Im sure its possible... Xm standalone desktop appSirius yahoo widgetAnyone who has sirius or xm should know that you can listen to it online . Those apps / widget prove taht its possible to write your own program to do this... This would be an amazing plugin.. I might attempt to do this..Unless anyone else wants to..since i have no knowledge of this
I've been using a PVR 150 and just added 2 new PVR 500s
I'm wondering if anyone has been successful in getting these two to work successfully together?
My original driver works fine for the PVR 150 but, the PVR 500s will not work in GBPVR. I use the newest driver and the PVR 500s work fine, but the PVR 150 either gives me no audio or is a white screen only and no audio.
So I'm wondering if there is any magic driver version that actually successfully works or any trick to get them to work together since they use the same driver.
I upgraded to the recent release, great improvement when browsing recordings, as well as no more hiccups in timeshift! Great Work!
However, I have a setup where I use Nvidia Purevideo decoder with overlay (not VMR) I have HD (16:9) and SD (4:3) channels. Before the upgrade, the aspect ratio was always correct in live TV. After the upgrade, SD channels are streched, while HD channels are fine. Aspect ratio for recordings is also correct. I never change aspect ratios, so I removed all of them in the config file but the first one (0,0,1,1) but that did not fix the problem. Cyberlink and Purevideo do excellent job with aspect ratio in live TV/DVD and recordings with overlay manager.
I have not changed anything else, so it appears that some new behavior in this release is causing my problem with aspect ratio using overlay manager. Can you help? Thanks
First of all a big shout out of THANKS to sub for a great piece of software. It's amazing to see something of such quality being offered at no charge. Fantastic.
Is there a heirarchy when it comes to installing Plug-Ins? I just want images on my library folders, Weather, DVD ripping/authoring, and be able to use it all with the MVP to the extent possible.
Now that I've got 96.08 set up and working 98% the way I want it, I've been contemplating additions that will add the functionality and little nuances I want. I've been reading and reading about each of the plug-ins and find myself a little confused. Some seem to overlap and some do the same things with different tools.
All I really want is:
1.)weather - this seems simple and I should have no problem.
2.)to have the nifty little images associated with my folders, recordings and mp3s, and maybe guide channels.
3.)to be able to burn my recordings to a DVD that will play on the crappiest of cheapo DVD players.
4.)be able to save DVDs to the hard disk and view over the MVP.
If I could get some suggestions on which plug-ins would be best for these things and in which order they are best installed, I would be most appreciative.
Please keep in mind that I'm a bit of a doofus and I'm slowly getting a handle on all the intracacies of encoding, muxing and all that, so please go easy. Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Jeff
My system:
XP Pro SP2
Antec TPII 380W
P4 3.0E
Asus P4S8X-MX (onboard 661GX woo hoo)
1GB Kingston RAM
PVR150 retail - receiving OTA via rabbit ears
PVR150 MCE sans FM - receiving S-video from DTV box + 2nd OTA antenna
(2) 80GB IDE + (1) 250GB S-ATA
Wired Media MVP outputting S-Video to old curved-screen 27" TV
I've spent over an hour now trying to figure out why my picture looks like the scrambled pic attached.
I'm running a PVR250 in the USA. I've typed numbers from the tuning helper into the EPG, tried both Antenna and Cable settings, different decoders, and if anything I only make things worse.
The WinTV2000 application from hauppauge runs perfectly so I'm sure I've made some boned headed setting somewhere or another.
This skin is the first skin by me, and I am a total newbie at this.
I decided to make a public skin shortly after reading into MixMan's advisor series and playing around with appearance manager. This is a good test bed to see how those tools can work with skin design.
The intention with Chameleon is that it is a master of disguise, able to change colors. It has no real identity other than it is intended to look like "Blue" and the user can go from their.
Give any feedback you can so I can learn from this.
