I would like to capture a program for a friend who needs the closed captioning.
Will the signal get saved and end up on the final DVD, or will it be lost?
I have the Hauppauge 350.
I don't have a TV which will display the closed caption stuff so I cannot test. If it makes it to the mpeg, do I have to do anything special when creating the DVD?
I added the reoccurring schedules for 6 Fox show from 7:00 to 10:00PM Sunday. Three of them showed up on the Conflicts list because of bad ranges. The other three were okay.
show intended sched conflicted schedule
Malcolm in the Middle 7:00-7:30 5:30-8:30
King of the Hill 7:30-8:00 6:00-9:00
The Simpsons 8:00-8:30 6:30-9:30
I've seen this before, but to workaround have just deleted the entry and then Quick Rec'd it. I suppose it has to do with being the first time a recurring recording is hit. I'm not sure why the first three were bad and the others good.
I have the audio from my tivo going to the line in on the Hauppauge 250 and the s-video from the tivo going to the Hauppauge 250.
For Recording Source - What should I choose
Capture Card - that is an easy one (Hauppauge 250)
Country - okay, I got that one covered to (USA)
Board Number - I am currently just picking #1 since this is the only card that I have.
Sounde - S-Video, External Tuner
When I attempt to go to live TV, I get a "Debug Assertion Error"
I have this running on Windows Media Center 2002 (on top of Win XP of couse)
My goal is to record either live TV from what ever channel I have selected or to pipe in my recorded Tivo content.
I just installed my Hauppauge PVR 150 card and ir blaster. I installed all drivers and the IR blaster driver. However, when I'm setting up GBPVR, the Hauppauge IR blaster doesn't show up in the drop down list. It's just
RedRat
IR200L
Girder
No Channel Changer
.exe channel changer
USB-UIRT
MCE2005
I've used this same card before without problems. Any suggetions? Also, I don't have the config app that is used to set how the IR blaster send IR signals to a STB.
I'm running the latest version of gbpvr along with the latest version of the weather plugin downloaded from the wiki. When I try to run the weather plugin I get the following errors in the log... Any ideas???
3/12/2006 5:22:52 PM.640 ERROR [11] Weather plugin error downloading weather for 40511

Would it be possible to template the Wiki pages for the plug-ins and skins?
Making it more sophisticated in detailing whats supported and whats not, currently its hard work to figure out what will work with what, it seems to preclude access to the vast array of plugins available.
I am looking at the menu on the MVP and the shape is not right, is not square is like distorted, do you now how to fix this. and another thing the video playback cuts a Little of the subtitle and is because of the shape of the image. Thanks
How would it be, if someone would make an EAN Barcode Database for DVD's or CD's?
I tried a Software called "DVD-Profiler" and i am very happy with this tool. Finally i only have to enter an Barcode and get all the right information for my media (sensing by reading the disc isn't everytime succesfull).
For now i integrated it with the "MyPrograms" Plugin from reven. I would be happy to see something like this too as plugin for GB-PVR... in this Case WITH CD-Audio Support.
Wondering if anyone has any good documents on converting recordings to xvid and automatically removing commercials?
I have comskip running and it works quite well. I would like to take the comskip data and feed it to an app (right now I'm thinking premier but it seems like overkill) that would remove the sections of video containing the commercial. Once it's done I'd like the final output to be an Xvid commercial free show ready to be archived.
