Now I have NextPVR V5 running correctly on my NextPVR server I am looking again at testing my SAT>IP tuner with my V5 test server after a Windows reinstall and the latest NextPVR version. The main problem is that the channel scan does not like missing or dead transponders and stops detecting channels after searching one. Using the 28.2.ini it finds 12 channels on the first transponder then nothing on the 108 other transponders in the file.
Around half the transponders are encrypted so several years ago I created a 28.2-FTA.ini with only 49 transponders that are used for Freesat/Free to Air transmissions. Scanning with this ini file it finds over 200 channels but finds no channels after 11597 MHZ V.
Missing from my ini file are the 2nd and 3rd transponders in the 28.2.ini as they are no longer used so the scan now does not lock up after the 1st transponder. The reason the scan stopped at 11597 MHZ is because the next frequency 11611 Mhz is an another unused transponder. I have removed several more transponders from my 28.2-FTA.ini file so I am down to 44 transponders. A full channel scan with this file now seems to find the expected channels.
Im unable to set the decoders in V5 I get an error
2020-04-18 17:04:21.835 [ERROR][1] Unexpected error: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Unmanaged.dll' or one of its dependencies. Any Ideas??
Also on a side not Im running on an AMD R7 GPU is there a way to use AMD for GPU decoder rather than DX11?
Hi, new to this forum.
Had WMC, having to move now so am trying NextPVR. Installed v5 ok on my older Win 8.1 Pro machine but none of my TBS tuners are detected. Eventually decided to uninstall and install v4 and it immediately detects all tuners and so far appears to work fine. There is obviously some issue in v5 that will not detect TBS6285 and TBS 6982 cards. Have done quick search on forums for 'tuner not detected' but get nothing back. Is there a known issue here or have I missed a step. I am assuming v5 will be the more advanced version so would be nice to get that running but I cannot get past the basic install at the moment. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!!
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or supposed to be like this.
In devices, if I disable one of the IPTV entries, those channels still appear in the TV Guide.
Even if I clear the EPG and Re-Import, they are still there.
The only way is to delete the relevant IPTV stream from the devices list.
Is it supposed to be like that?
Is there a possibility we could hide disabled stream in the TV Guide (even if it's a selectable option in settings).
I noticed this today, because all of my channels have names like "KCDODT7" and "KCNCDT2" and I wanted to change them to be human readable (e.g. KUSADT -> NBC [KUSADT]).
I changed the name under Settings -> Channels, and the channel was there in the TV Guide with all guide data, and the right name, but the icon was the one for a broken image link. Changing the channel name back restored the icon; checking the URL of the image showed it to be the same regardless of the name of the Channel (e.g. http://127.0.0.1/services/service?method...el_id=7159 ).
If I want to change the target nextpvr SERVER hardware, I need to change the corresponding mac address of the new server to allow the wol feature to work correctly on the client. On a PC client running kodi, I simply edit he settings.xml file in kodi's pvr.nextpvr folder of the client with the mac address of the new server.
But when using kodi on a FTV 4K client, I am not sure how to go about setting/resetting the mac address (it is grayed out) when I want to target a different server platform. Any suggestions on how to do this?
Right now, I can set the IP address of the new server in the kodi client, but the mac address of the previous server is still showing (grayed) in the advanced settings page. How do I get the the client to recognize the correct mac address?
linux mint newby and npvr very very newby.
after running fine for 2 weeks i noticed there was an update so decided to go ahead. i followed the on site instructions and everything seemed to install.i then rebooted and started firefox, went to the web page and it loaded.the problem is that nothing in the settings menu works.the top menu is fine but i have no way to load devices or anything else.
any help would be appreciated.
