MX-Linux is Debian 10 based and has both systemd and sysVinit for their service manager. I was able to install NextPVR but it returned errors. I discovered that the default was sysVint when booting MX-Linux. Thankfully, there is an option to make the default systemd at boot so after doing this NextPVR runs on MX-Linux just fine.
I am curious though, is it possible to get NextPVR to run with sysVint? I asked this question on the MX-Linux forum https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=57469 and his response was that I would need an init script suitable for svinit.
I had set up recordings, but now want stop recording them. I can't figure out how to stop them. Even if I go to Forget, or Cancel, a few weeks later it begins recording again.
I see that I can download the logs from the webui 'About' page.
This gives me a .zip file. Functional, but awkward; Where are the logs saved in realtime? Is there a way to watch them (e.g. 'tail -f')? I don't see output going to syslog, or any files in /opt/nextpvr that are log files .
I noticed something a bit odd. When I'm not logged into the forums I can see and read the announcements subforum just fine. As soon as I log in it tells me I don't have permission to see that subforum. If I then log out I can view it again.
The mouse pointer is disappearing when using the channels pop-up during live TV.
Steps to re-create:
- Launch V5 Desktop App
- Start a live TV program
- Right-click on the screen and select Channels
- Move the mouse pointer to anywhere inside the channel pop-up
- Wait until the on-screen information disappears from the TV screen
- Move the mouse pointer to another control within the pop-up
Poof! it's gone.
It will return if one moves the pointer back into the TV screen(which brings back the on-screen info) and then quickly moves to the channel pop-up. Again, after the on-screen info is removed, the pointer will again vanish from the pop-up when the pointer is moved to a different pop-up control.
I do not want to rename the channel, but i would like to assign a logo to this channel. Because of the naming, it is not possible, to name the channel icon file like this. / is a not allowed carakter in windows for filesnames.
Is there a placeholder i can use, so that NPVR grabs the icon?
