Hi, I am a new user, I tested the app by two different DVB-T2 dongles and what I see is common to both.
I can scan, tune and receive all channels in my zone but, using the app, I find some problems that I summarize in the attachment, which I can't find mention in the forum (problems that I do not find when running other similar programs).
I don't know what they depend on or if they can be bugs, I ask for help.
Thank you.
Hi. On my laptop PC, I get an error when trying to re-install NPVRSetup.exe. A screenshot of the error is attached, and this is after a fresh reboot of the system. If I click OK, the installation continues apparently successfully, but after opening NPVR in my browser and clicking on Settings and then choosing any of the menu options on the left, the main screen stays black. I cannot display About, General, Devices, etc. They all stay completely black. I haven't attached any log files, because I can't find them, and cannot create them, not being able to get to the 'About' screen. If you can tell me how else to find or create them, I'll gladly send them of course. I suspect one or more of the files from my previous install may need to be deleted and recreated, but I'm not sure which. Can you tell from the error message?
Hi Sub,
Just wondered if NScriptHelper -Rename and a Horizontal Skin have made it up your "To Do" list yet. Would really like to move to V5 but need the -Rename function whilst the biggest house user doesn't want me to change the system without a horizontal skin. She doesn't like vertical for some reason and I like a quiet life ;-)
While watching TV.. right click and select "channels". A box is supposed to popup with all the ASTC channel listings. Used to work fine but seems to have stopped working in this release.
Same thing with PIP. Nothing happens after you select PIP. This used to also work.
I tried reinstalling this version by rerunning the installer but it made no difference. Is there something I am missing?
installed on mint 19 and with a little help from BrettB managed to upgrade to latest version.
however installing on my 2nd computer which has ubuntu 18.04 installed has resulted in failure.
the install had no errors, and a run check in terminal reports that it is running, but the web page fails to connect. i might be missing something simple but i'm pulling my hair out on this.
please help

I've been using Emby as my DVR for the last year and I want to try the new version of NextPVR. (To be clear, I'm not wanting to use NextPVR in conjunction with Emby at this time.)
I have many shows recorded that I'd like to add to the NextPVR database.
I've looked around the forum and the Internet and I see vidimport.exe mentioned. I gave that a try but received the following error: Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at videoImport.Program.Main(String[] args)
It seems like vidimport.exe should do what I need. Is it still the preferred solution?
Alternatively...
Emby has .nfo files associated with each .ts file. These .nfo files contain a bunch of metadata associated with each show. I suppose it's feasible to traverse my recordings directory and extract the relevant data for each tv show and compile the import file that NextPVR needs to add the shows to the database. Any thoughts on what programming method would be optimal in doing something like this?
I just updated to v5 today and everything setup fine, looks like a nice program. Problem is I only get 7 days of guide data using Schedules Direct. I had the full 14 days with v4. Is there a settings somewhere?
