Hey. I'm hoping i'm not the only one having this problem. I had it before my recent fresh hard drive install, and was working fine until i updated with the newer version IR software.
I have a pvr-150, and now, for whatever weird reason, i get an error message (whether i click on the RED button -43 button remote- or if i manually click on the ir taskbar WinTV2k.exe in the list. This is the error message i get.

Funny thing is, supposedly is looks like it's looking for a link. I don't know where this info is stored to be able to open it up and change this.
And even when i edit the irremote.ini file, and change the
(and restart ir software that is) it's still giving me this error? I'm confused. Somehow afer installing the new ir software update, it must've done some kind of regkey change so it's pointing to somewhere it's obviously not supposed to be pointing to.
ANyone have any insite on this? Hopefully someone has a helpfull answer. Thanks ahead for any help.
Still happening, even in the new version but have figured out some more. Don't think it's plugin.
By chance GB was left on channel 3 (FTA) the last time i tried live tv. So i went into it today to see if the last changes i'd made had any effect, and it went in perfectly so i thought i'd fixed it. Then i changed to sky one, this is on the saturn box, and the saturn box was on 50, and there we went, 100 % gbpvr.exe usage, and the recording service will need a restart.
I'm guess maybe usb-uirt the cause?? or the switch from coax to composite input source.

I am trying to get the Dvico Gold to work with gbpvr. I set the card by itself, then set up zap2it, then load the listings. It lists and check marks the channels. I then save. When I go to open the program and hit live tv or select the program guide, there is no tv and there are no listings, and it tells me I must set up the epg. I keep going in circles. I am a veteran with the program, and have gotten H. 150's and ATI 550's to work with it. Can anyone help me fix this? I am using the most current version, having returned after several months away using BTV.
So glad to see the new transcoding button in the menus, and got me to thinking, maybe i could pull a fast one and substitute mencoder for ffmpeg for the transcoding options...ffmpeg is ok but a bit raw,not as many options as mencoder,no reading dvd's etc...
So i made a little app that takes the ffmpeg options and passes them to a mencode.bat file seamlessly...

additional profiles can be used to alter mencoder commands as well..
[the profiles will still function as profiles, but with a few differences]
first parameter is command you wish to run.. eg. fmpeg.exe
the rest are parameters to use with that command..:
cmd="fmpeg.exe -y -i {SOURCE_FILE} -f avi -ab 128 -ac 2 -acodec mp3 -vcodec mpeg4 et.c etc....
basically the cmd= section is run as is..so anything could be done here..
any thoughts,suggestions, features wanted? i'll see what's possible with a limited batch file but theoretically it all should be because of the parameters available in the config..[like ability to name the outfile with title_episode,etc]

the auto-it script allows me hide the command window entirely,but not sure if that would always be a good thing...thoughts?
right now i'm minimizing it and nothing shows on tv but it does wait and close gbpvr dialog when done...
To setup:
Instructions in zip... of course have a copy of mencoder.exe in your gbpvr dir and you're all set...
go into library or wherever you see the transcode button and highlight a file and hit transcode...select a profile and start...
edit vbscale= for quality/size output,or add your own opts..!
shoot,can even use a different encoder!!

every recording made using the 2nd tuner has this audio prob. The audio level is muffled so I have to crank it up to hear it at all and when i do there is this whine from all the excess gain. Ive been fiddling for a while and have tried changing the quality settings , i've tried different coax connections (in case it it was a signal strength issue) .the video is perfect , actually everything except the audio quality is PERFECT. everything from the first tuner (video and audio) works fine.
The only thing i have noticed is that if the second tuner is recording at "high" or "medium" quality it has a much better chance of recording properly. The first tuner is recording at a low quality custom setting and works without fail every time while the 2nd tuner fails when using the same profile.

This issue may have already been discussed, and for that i appologize. My
Issue is as follows:
i had originally bought a 350 card and it works like a champ. No problems, issues, or concerns. i even had gbpvr setup to directly access the hauppauge remote (45-button) correctly...hence, removing the ir32.exe from the startup and freeing up a lil bit more resources.
about 2 months ago i bought a 150MCE OEM (using the 150 WinXP Drivers) to use as a dual tuner card for my system. as far as recording & watching my shows, the system works correctly. where i am having issues is with the remote, it simply will not work. i have since placed the ir32.exe back on the startup and now all i see is the all too common & annoying "Failed to Initialize infrared remote."
On a side note...if i power down, remove the 150MCE card and power back on the system once again works like a charm. Even if i just remove that card from Device Manager the system works fine.
i am so fed up with this issue that i am looking for alternative options:
1. using 2 systems for video recording (1 to watch and the other strictly for recording and then transferring those videos to DVD)
2. installing a version of WINDOWS MCE 2005 (thanks MSDN Subscription!) and forking another $40 for a MS Remote and Receiver. But will this even work with the 350??
I have a hauppage 150, I update the EPG and all my channels show up, but when I try and change to some channels, they won't change the tuner. The wintv app that came with the tuner works, but certain channels it just won't change to. If I bring up the guide they are there, but no matter what I do it won't change to them.
