So, I finally purchased a Fusion 5 Gold card to begin building my HDPC. I have everything working properly with the DVICO software that came with the system.

Yesterday I started tackling GBPVR, but I'm afraid I am not getting very far. I followed the directions on the wiki for setup; created the recording source for the Fusion 5, and set the EPG source to Zap2it (in US). Then I went to the settings for EPG. I did not have an account setup for zap2it, so I clicked on the link labeled "CLICK HERE to create a free account ..."

At this point I got an error that said "Application not found" (An unhandled exception has occurred in your application ...). So I went to the zap2it website to create my own account, selected the stations I wanted to keep (all digital), and then went back to GBPVR and the zap2it settings dialog box.

I entered my username and password and pressed OK. I then exited the configuration utility and then restarted it. When I tried to Update the EPG, I got an error message stating that "Your EP source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source settings and try again."

Has anyone else ever run in to this problem, or have any idea why zap2it is not working from within GBPVR? Any help wqould be greatly appreciated.

I know these type of questions get asked all the time but here goes anyway.

I just got IPTV installed from my telephone company with 3 Video Streams. The gateway is the Motorola RG2400. I can not find a configuration in the IR blaster setup that will control the gateway.

Any Ideas or suggestions.

Well my 800mhz celeron just isnt cutting it anymore!
Im looking to build a new pc , on a budget. A new case, motherboard, ram , and cpu.(new psu?)...

Im thinking somewhere around 2 ghz , with at least 512mb of ram. And preferably audio on the motherboard and ethernet... Its hard to find 2ghz P4 procesors on any reliable sites anymore.. I dont want to spend more than 200!

Having problems with auto converting my recordings to xvid. I had it all working untill i recently had to re-install windows and gbpvr.
I've been digging through the forums and cant find a fix.

I was using a setting from Humperdink i beleive to auto convert which is the follwing:

Would nicely convert my 2 gig mpegs recordings to 500meg avis, but now it's not converting my files, it does record the mpgs though.

Hopefully someone can help me figure out why it's not converting. I've attached my recoding log and config, hopefully that helps..

I am about to setup a gbpvr machine and am looking for recommendations for
tuner cards, i'm prepared to pay for a stable solution, preferences are
* XP pro support
* PCI based
* AV inputs so i can also archive Sky+
* Would love digital capture also so i wont have to buy another in a few years but this isnt a major deal right now

Had i not asked here i would probably go with the Hauppage PVR-350 or
Twinhan DTV Ter (D+A)

I upgraded to 0.96.8 a couple of days ago and have noticed my machine no longer drops to standy when sitting idle in the front end menu.
It will still manually enter standby from the power button, the new system screen or the preveous standby plugin I was using, recovers from standby fine as well.

Auto standby has always worked without issue in preveous releases.

Has something changed that could cause this?
Is anyone else haveing the same problem ?

Its not a huge issue, Im going to install a 3rd party screen saver that forces standby on idle tonight, its just a bit odd that its standard WinXP APM has stopped working after installing the new version.

Other than this small issue new release is great, upgrade installation was fine, everything else running smoothly.
I am still getting a .net exception when exiting the config app which appeared in the last release, havent checked the formus for a solution to this yet though as its only a minor problem.

I have I question on my mediamvp remote there are the keys "tv" "video" "music" "pictures" "guide" and "radio" and these buttons are associated with the coresponding functions on gbpvr,
my question is it possible to change teh action so that the misic button would show the music box plugin for example!?
