When I try to view recorded programs in Full Screen mode, the aspect ratio is right, but the picture only takes up about 80% of the screen and is positioned in the top middle portion of the screen.

I can't be the ontly one, but I get that "searching for codec" when I play a mpeg2 file, it puts the file name in organge in an error, but plays it anyway.

This one drives me nuts, because it doesn't seem to matter or effect anything (read: everythign seems to play fine). The reason it bothers me is because I wonder if it means Windows is missing it in some way, and not just WMP.

Aside from playing fine (seemingly), I have tried to open in graphedit, and it looks fine there and plays, too.

Is there a way to open the file in graphedit to see it the way WMP sees it, so I can see what WMP sees or is trying to see?

Hi, is there a lock/PIN for the Video Archive plug-in similar to XRecord's plug-in. Video Archive is what I taught my 6 yr old daughter to watch her videos as it is much easier for her, however, since my recordings are also seen, there are some recordings that I wish to have locked.

Also, would it also be possible to have a choice whether to initially open with the DVD selections instead of the recordings as it makes it a lot easier for my daughter to just click Videos then choose her favorite video without pressing the yellow button first to switch to DVD.

Would like to know if this is normal or am doing something wrong. Am using Fast switching for different users for Win XP, also use the same machine to serve as HTPC. I know that MVP is a system service as I see it in my Task Manager as such. However, whenever somebody logs off the MVP servers restarts and whoever is watching will be interrupted until the User is fully logged off and the MVP Service is restarted. Anybody experiencing this with their MVPs as well.

This is a bit of an odd one as I thought this was signal strength however now i'm not sure.

I have 2 x Freeview digital tuners, Freecom TV stick and Nova-T PCI and this morning I tried playing back live TV and it was very blocky, frequently kept playing the same segment over and over so I bumped up the pre play delay to the maxium of 2000(ms). No improvement, I tried other values all without change. It was unwatchable.

Now given that the live playback is just a playback of a recording, I then did this manually by going into the EPG, pressed the record button, then went and found the video being recorded and started to play that back and it played back fine, no problems.

The only difference that I can see is that it would have taken me more than 2 seconds to go and find the recorded file to play that back so why the hard coded limit of 2sec max?

Any suggestions?

Would it be possible to speed up channel switching by automaticly switching to a free tv card tunner when channel switching? Recording cleanup for the other channel could be kept running or stopped on a low pioritiory thread. With suggestion 2 TV cards you could quickly switch back to the previous channel. With 3 cards you could predict and prepare the next channel (if channel scrolling).

Also is it possible to timeshift on multiple channels? (ie I pause one channel, switch to another channel, when an advert pops up I switch over to the original, unpause and continue watching that.)

On and one more idea. What about in preview mode we have the option to auto-start timeshifting on a low thread after not chaning a channel for a few seconds (when it comes on line, some sort of small indicator could appear).

When i get my tv guide up to record programs my bbc2 and channel more 4 is always missing, I have tried updating the epg but this makes no difference,:mad:

i have a MCE remote... that has a "guide" button.
i want to know if i can put some code into the main menu keymapping file and use hip to automatically go straight to guide from any part of the program is this possible by putting in

MENU_GUIDE = "G"
or something along those lines?
