I don't know what is really going on, but when I am looking at the main menu in GBPVR, everything looks as it did last night. When I watch TV or a previously recorded show, the image looks like it is zoomed way in and the quality looks terrible. I tried watching a recorded show on another computer in the network, and it looked fine. Could the aspect ratio have changed? How could this have happened? How do I fix it? I have never seen a change when I hit F7, so I don't think that will fix the aspect ratio. Also, I am recording something now, so I don't want to disturb that, but I will if I have to. My wife will be home soon, so I hope to have it fixed before she gets here. Please help.

I've been getting the downloading weather forecast screen most of the day. I get these notes in the log, perhaps they've fooled with the format again?

My XMLTV EPG update does not work - it has been working for long now.

The problem is when I run onlyupdate is that it starts updating EPG - please wait - and then nothing happens

I tried just to use one channel when fetching and then it worked - trying again with more channels in the XML file it does not work.

maybe this has something to do with som data in XML file for some channel?

How can I check what is happening / where it is stopping?

I think I got a defective MVP, but want to make sure.

I get an image & sound if the I connect the white/red/yellow cables from my MVP to my SD TV.

When I try to use the S-Video connection, I get a scrolling screen which goes side ways very distored. It's not the cable as the same cable work just fine on other devices. I tried powering down/up TV, software, MVP all to no avail.

Does this sound like a defective MVP?

Can the firmware on the MVP be upgraded and if so, where are the latest firmwares?

I have Rev E1 unit and the firmware is 1.0.

I wonder how GBPVR would run on system like this? Add some MVP's and you could have a media server for a small bed and breakfast or an apartment building.

Just been playing with nmy Toshiba 28" TV and found a setting to increase sharpness! Everything looks even better now! Spose the moral is check your tv settings!

Not sure if this is a skin or main app question? Is it possible to show the volume level when changing volume or when volume is on mute?

I was hoping someone here could point me to a good reputable program with minimal CPU useage I could run on my PC so that I keep my IP address or IP connectivity. Seems as though during the day I can't log into GBPVR due to inactivity on my home network. If my wife happens to be home and using one of the other computers in the house to surf the web then I can connect just fine.

I guess I could run ping plotter and set a time of every 20 minutes or so for a ping?

I think this is one for Sub. I had a recording scheduled for 21:50 to end at 22:00 with 4 minutes pre-pad and 10 mins post.

As you can see from the log, the recording ended at 21:54 and from what I can see, this was a graceful stop.

Is it obvious what went wrong? PC clock is correct but then even if it weren't the times would still match.

The programme was only 10 minutes long in the first place so to have the last 4 minutes lost was a bit of a killer!
