EDIT: Nevermind, it works for some reason now...

Sorry if I sound like a n00b, but I recently got my Hauppage WinTV-PVR150, and this being the first time I have ever used a TV Tuner, I'm kind of lost. Someone recommended this program to me, so I tried it out but I can't seem to get it to work.

I updated the EPG in the configuration program and all the channels are listed, but everytime I run GB-PVR, I get the "No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and set up the EPG source..." I've done it many times now, but I still can't get it to work. I'm using the Zap2It EPG source and the Direct Recording Plugin.

What am I doing wrong?

Until now I've been pretty well using the basic plugins for GBPVR but have recently added quite a few others.. My Pictures, XDVD, XRecord, Music Player 2. The music files and picture files are on a separate networked server.

Now the PC will not automatically go into hibernation, so something must be keeping either the network connection active or something else in the PC active. I'll be removing the plugins one by one to see if it makes any difference, but if someone can shed some light on what may be happening, that would be appreciated.

I set up the actual version of myvideos, configured everything like described in the wiki, started gbpvr and... nothing. No Button.

I read the dummies guide, double checked everything... aaaarggh... NOTHING

after hours of trying and testing, I beg for help.

Whats wrong? Must be something very simple, as usual...

I find that comskip does not work that good that I would trust in it.
I think it would be cool to set beginning and end of commecial breaks manually (eg. by pressing "go" button on hauppauge remote).

should be easy to do...?

I have a smart tv tuner card (PCMCIA slot) in my laptop. Will this work with gbpvr????

Ive recently bought the nova t usb2

Im using the bleb support for tv listings but find that not all channels are supported probably my ignorance about pvr if im honest.

Ive added the channels in gb pvr but find that those channels dont have listings

these include sky news news 24 sky three etc

Ive also searched google for xmltv and found bbc radio times xmltv quoted as being available but cant seem to find information on this and how to download it

does any one have any sugestions for xmltv plugins that have the same info and quailty as bleb or a way to add listings to the bleb feed

I have a dual head Matrox G400 and am using it's "DVDMax" feature for displaying the video from GBPVR on a second monitor.

In lieu of buying a Hauppage MVP and running wires to another room containing my big screen TV, my intent is to connect the output going to the second monitor to a 5.8GHZ wireless A/V transmitter to the big screen TV. This would also give me the flexibility to buy a second wireless receiver and watch the same show on a portable TV on my deck.

Unfortunately, my search of the forums revealed there are no methods/drivers/tweaks to get the OSD to display on the DVDMax monitor.

It would be a nice feature if sub would offer a configuration option to separate the OSD from the video playback window.

This option would have several benefits:

1. The OSD would be visible at all times. You would always know what channel/show was being viewed in Live TV and (not sure about this) plugins could be displaying their data simultaneously with Live or recorded video playback.
2. You could schedule new recordings, etc. via the Menus while Live/Recorded video was playing.
3. If the OSD was always visibile in a separate window it would be feasible to use remote control software to control GBPVR via a laptop for instance. Since the OSD by itself would not have significant video updates occurring like OSD+Live TV, remote controlling it via VNC for instance should be very responsive even on an 802.11b wireless connection.

Am I totally off base?

Just a slightly different, simple question: Does anyone have ffdshow working w/ postprocessing of video?

I have it working for audio, which is why I'm confused. I have it set to handle raw video, and tried turning on mpeg2, but it won't interact the way audio will.

I was thinking that maybe you needed to set ffdshow as the decoder to make it work, but that made no sense since it's not set that way for audio, and that works w/ ac3 set to do handling.

What am I not understanding about this relationship?
