Did everything that walkthrough said todo but cant seem to open the TV itself. The program is running and its in Sleeping mode when I get the status

I have a hauppauge pvr2 USB and the remote doesnt seem to open the program if that how u should start the program to run and come out of sleep mode. plz help. Btw I have the 45 button remote and I did the fix already and restarted the IR.

I'm getting an error when the TV guide is being updated from zap2it. The error displayed is : Failure in channelfactory:torechannels(): invalid argument. Looks like zap2it might have changed something???? Anyone else having this problem?

Having recently picked up an MVP for the bedroom, i've spent the last few days mucking around with various settings and have got everything working using Mpeg. However, my main GBPVR server has always been much happier with DVR-MS recording and while I can watch DVR-MS files very nicely on the MVP any attempt at live TV results in a reboot.

I don't quite understand this as surely the live tv is just a 'timeshift' and therefore simply playing back a recording. Any increase/decrease in the live TV delay also makes no difference.

I just wanted to confirm that Live TV on the MVP using DVR-MS is possible before devoting precious time to solving it. If so any ideas are very welcome.

I've been using GBPVR for some time and i'm constantly amazed by what it is capable of. The MVP support is a real ace up the sleeve - I can't believe I didn't buy one months ago!!

Regardless of whether I solve this one or not, GBPVR running with an MVP is simply the coolest thing i've seen in ages. We don't say this nearly enough but Thank you for the continued hard work Sub.

hello i been using gbpvr for over 2 weeks now, and id love it loads
i was wondering if their was way to have menu to display recording for the first 24hours? ie: what has been recorded for today more of simplified listings
didnt see any feats./ addon for this on here :/

What's with the MVP needing to be powered down for at least half an hour or so for it to lose its settings? Is it such a low current device that its power supply caps hold it up?

(You can probably detect the voice of a person who has wasted some time before leaving it off for a long while!!).

Can anyone please comment on likely reasons for this failure in the log below?
I doubt the system was particularly heavily loaded at the time this happened.
Showed on recording status page as recording, ended with zero size file.

When scheduling a transmission for recording, all I get is an .mpg with a filelength of 0 Byte.

Scheduling used to work before - maybe I'm just overlooking something very simple ...

EPG set up to merge two .xml-files (via tv_grab and nxtvepg).

Today I was prompted by "DigiGuide" (3rd Party EPG) to add a new channel for "More4 +1" (everything on "More4" 1 hour later).

To duplicate this in GBPVR, I checked whether the channel was available by running GBPVR Config and re-scanning for channels - "more4 +1" is available.

So, next I need to fetch the EPG data for this channel.

My problem is that http://www.radiotimes.com at present only seems to offer EPG data for "more4" - see http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/channels.dat for the current list of channels they offer for download via "xmltv tv_grab_uk_rt".

Has anyone solved this ?

Are "radiotimes.com" usually fairly quick at adding new channels to their EPG downloads ?

How easy would it be to write a script/application to parse the downloaded XMLTV data for the channel "more4" and append a copy of all the entries under the channel "more4 +1" - with all the programmes shifted +1 hour into the future ???
