Sometimes when i playa recording there is no sound. If i exit from playing it and play it again more often than not the sound is working.

Sometimes when ffwding through a recording the sound will go and exiting is the only way to restore it.

Anyone else had this?

I just installed and configured my new Twinhan DVB-T card and everything seems to work fine, apart from one problem:

When using the MVP and selecting "Live TV" and change the channel using the up/down buttons of the remote GBPVR crashes and the MVP refuses to work. Doing the same thing on the computer (GBPVR.exe) works well.

I've attached the relevant log and the error message details to this message. Perhaps anybody knows a possible reason for this problem. I used to have a PVR 150 installed and did not have the problem before.

Changing the channels with MVP using the TV GUide, and selecting "Watch" in the menu works, just changing with up/down buttons generate this error.

I have been using gbpvr for about a year now but i still cannot get some tv shows to record with good enough quality. I am not sure if it is setup, hardware or drivers, i am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Most programs that don't include any quick movements are fine but but sports especially hockey games record in such poor quality that it is unwatchable. (Yes i am Canadian)

I am using a Asus p5p800 board, P4 3.0Ghz, 2 GB of Ram, ATI 9600 SE 256meg (latest ATI drivers) and two Hauppauge Wintv Pvr 150 capture cards. I have tried the DirectX fix that was posted on this forum with little to no changes in quality.

I am thinking that the Hauppauge Wintv Pvr 150 card is not good enough to capture the quick movements of a hockey game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'd like to shrink the size of some of my stored DVD's and while i've done this with tools like dvd shrink, I would like to use as few steps as possible.

The tools that demux and remux the VOB's tend to end up with MPEG output files of the same size as the VOB's (less the intro's and menu's etc).

I have managed to reduce the size of one MPEG from 2.7GB to 0.9GB and the quality is still excellent, using ashampoo, to create a VOB (only option I could find) and then VideoReDo to convert the VOB back to MPEG. The only problem I now have is that the resultant video is 16:9 but displaying at the top half of the screen on a TV connected to an MVP. Even if I resize to 4:3, same happens.

I'd welcome other ways of simply re-quantizing to reduce the MPEG size.

Unless I've done something wrong, I think there's a slight problem with BlueMCE2.

It hangs GBPVR whenever I need to delete anything (eg. a file, a recording, etc.). I have the "confirm delete" option enabled, which I think it has something to do with the problem.

Is it possible that it doesn't have a provision for that popup???

I have access to a few Radio Shack MVPs. New and still shrink wrapped.

Mainly for those using channel logos/icons. It would be a help to see the channel number on the pop-up program detail window, like it does on the OSD.

The problem is that I can't make it work

I once had the scan option in the FM radio scren but not any more... After scanning and chosing to keep every station detected, it ended up not storing them.
I have added two stations manually but I can't hear them.

I have defined a direct recording plugin for analog TV, BDA recording plugin for digital terrestrial and another direct recording plugin for S-video inut and no problem as far as tv is concerned. Direct recording are Hauppauge Roslyn and BDA NOVA-T 9002.

Please, any idea why it's not working?

Ok I have a directory of around 7000 WMAs

I would like to auto convert these to mp3 and put the track info into the ID tag, hopefully with the option of renaming the file based on the ID tag - What is the best (free ) software?

The rest of my music collection is stored in a directory structure (Artist -> Album -> Track). - Is there any software that can convert this massive directory into a more organised structure like this? - Or is there a benefit to having them all in one directory, and use Music Library2? (seems a bit messy to me)

how can I delete entries from the channellist at the channeltab in the config.exe-tool? I have renewed the channels in the capture source tab for my hauppauge pvr-350. But there are a lot of obsolete entries in the channels-list.

gb-pvr is the actual version 0.9516
