Frequently, when I try to watch livetv, I get bumped out after 30 seconds regardless of channel or or tuner ( I have PVR-150 and Fusion Lite). Only a complete reboot would resolve it. When I use timeshift mode, I get a hiccup every 30 seconds. I have read about this problem here, but have not found a solution. If you experienced this and know of a way around it, I would be grateful.

I use ffdshow for everything, so I'm pretty familiar w/ it. I'm trying to think of a way to greate a condition where it only applies to GB TV (in timeshift, if that matters). I know how to do it for file types, etc, but I can't think what may specifically separate tv viewing.

What i'm trying to do is improve the color output for the 150. I, like other, wrestle w/ some washing out and overbrightness (and tweaking alone will not fix). I know I can improve w/ the color correction in ffdshow, but I don't want it to change playback of recordings (which seem fine) or other files that use mpeg playback.

Application match would work if cueing off recording service would do it. I don't think ratio would work since recodings would be the same.

I have ideas, but am holping someone could save some trial and error if they know.

Hi all, I havent posted much in the last few weeks because I was busy with my new daughter. We had a baby girl born on Dec 30th. She's a happy, sleepy beautiful little girl.


Anyway on to my PVR related questions. For Christmas I received a new PVR 150mce. I was about to install in my existing GBPVR box but I had a strange thought.

Would it be possible to add the PVR 150 to a second PC in the house and still have it controled from my primary GBPVR PC? I have had the the "native GBPVR client" configured and working in the past. I'm toying with the idea of putting it all back in serivce.

The main GBPVR server runs in the living room and an second PC connects to the server and the GBPVR data base. I was able to schedule and watch recordings as well as watch live TV.

I would like to add the second PVR 150 to my "client" PC so the PVR 150 can be used for other things when not recording for GBPVR. Any chance this can work?

Let me know if anyone has tired this with or wiithout success. What were the roadblocks

Okay I have been playing around with this software for a couple of days and let me start out by saying it's money. Great TV playback, great interface options and basically everything is working great save for one thing - file playback. No matter what options I play with in FFDSHOW or in the config for GBPVR anytime I load a Divx, Xvid or other movie or TV grab it adjusts the ratio to fit full screen. I have told it in FFShow not to adjust, adjust to 4:3, if greater then 640...no matter what I tell it, it comes out wrong.

Here is the kicker..

If I play the same video in either Beyond Media or just plain WMP it plays in the correct ratio, looks great and has great color. On top of the ratio issue the color is really washed and the picture is not sharp when I play it through GBPVR. I realize it has been said before GBPVR simply hands off the actual file to Directshow..and when I change the Decoder I can see differences but I just find it strange that even Beyond Media plays it perfectly and in GBPVR I have issue. I would much rather use GBPVR as it is setup much better and I like the TV options better, so any pointers would be much appreciated.

Sub,in the next release will you allow the name and title of the recording to be the same as the tv guide. For example, Don't Boil!-The Terririfying Dried Demons-Inuyasha-Date and time.mpeg rather than Inuyasha-20060501-0342890.mpeg for archiving purposes.

Everything works great on my PVR, with on exception. When I watch Live TV on the PVR server, over time the audio will get out of synch with the video. The audio lags behind the video, and it Live TV starts to look like an old kung fu movie. My recordings are in perfect synch and so is Live TV on the MVP (which I would expect since the MVP is playing back a recording).

I have been following this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...50+drivers about the "pvr150 video timing bug". This weekend I downgraded my drivers from the most recent to 2.0.24.23035. That did not seem to make any noticable difference in the gradual build up of audio lag.

Can anyone shed any light on this and help me fix it?

Hello folks. I am new to the whole PVR thing. I have a Dell P4 2.4Ghz, XP Pro SP2, 1gb ram, VisionTek ATI Xtasy 7k PCI video card (TV OUT), PVR-150, onboard sound. I have just installed everything, and it seems to be working ok for the most part. I am having some small issues that I would like to correct. The 1st problem is sometimes the video skips. It is even skips sometimes playing a DVD. I have Cyberlink installed that came with Dell. I assume it uses that for playback. I may need to install something else. I have the latest ATI drivers.. Also, when I am in the GBPVR menu, and I select live Tv, it takes a good 15 seconds to switch to live TV. Is there a setting I can change to make that faster? And last but not least, when I am watching a recorded show or DVD, and I use Rewind or FastFoward, when the video resumes, I get NO sound. I have to exit back to the main GBPVR menu and then restart the video. Any help on these issues would be great.
