Hi,

I've seen a few posts on this forum that say the TV out on the WinTV 350 won't work with MCE. Does this mean the TV out function on the card will not function at all in the operating system, or does it mean it won't function using the Media Center application? (i.e., could I use some other media front end, such as GB-PVR, to utilize my TV out capability?) The reason I ask is I'm considering building a new system, and I'm trying to decide whether I should use Windows XP or MCE 2005. If I can get TV out functionality in any way with my WinTV 350, I would use MCE 2005 . . . otherwise, I will go with XP.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, you should be able to get it to function with GB-PVR on MCE. It'll only give you the GB-PVR interface, not desktop or other apps.

Thanks very much for the clear and fast response. I'll go with MCE 2005 and use GB-PVR for any TV out functions.

Hi,

I am just trying to install the PVR350 on Windows MCE 2005.
It fails. Only one (there are four unknown devices) could be installed with a driver.
Did someone face the same problem and has a hint for me?

(The reason why I try out MCE is, that I heard that MCE has streaming server capabilities and EPG. If someone knows a better way to stream, I would drop MCE...I)
