I am in the process of rebuilding my pvr. But after reloading the os (win 2k server) and GB-pvr and .net etc. When trying to configure gb-pvr i get this message:
Microsoft.net Framework
An unhandled exception has occurred in your application.
Any ideas??? I am stumped. I tried reloadind everything??
I have no access to a terrestrial TV signal and so rely on Sky for all TV. Do any of the supported TV cards change the sky channel for recording or will I have to do it manually.
Hello...
I have a Hauppauge 500 dual tuner card and have currently scheduled 8 half hour shows all in a row. Since I have GBPVR set to record a minute before and two minutes after, there is a 3 minute time frame where both tuners will be recording at once (correct?). My question is - If I have another show set to record within the timeframe of the 8 half hour shows, will GBPVR make the adjustments on the start and end times to allow all the shows to be recorded correctly? (Currently no conflicts shown)
The first alpha of the caller id plugin is posted on wiki. You need a modem (I need to find one) you need to install YAC link on caller id wiki page.
When you click on the plugin it will NOT show the call log (yet) it just shows a example that skin developers can use to test the positioning of the data.
Please let me know if it works. You will have to edit the config.xml manually to add a video plugin. Instructions on wiki.
Quote:Last night I tried the Color Collection skin. It looks good, but I have problems with the black pop-up windows. If I plan to record a show, and there is a conflict, a black window will pop up. I cannot read the text i such a window. The frame showing where the marker is, is visible, only the text is not.
I haven't had time to have a closer look at your XML files. Maybe you have black characters on a black background?
Can anyone tell me where to find the xml code for the conflicts popup window?
Hi, For a few weeks I've been running GBPVR successfully on my 24/7 box. Yesterday I reinstalled the OS to run WS2003 so that I can run a domain.
Since then, I cannot get the config tool to autoscan. It starts fine, then hangs once it finds a signal. I have a Nova-T with the latest drivers. I also use the Cyberlink demuxer from the AutoDVRMS tool.
Can anyone help? I'm missing a Quincy M.E every day I don't fix this. My gf is starting to suggest we put a VCR back into the setup.
While I'm here, I'd like to thank you for the software. I just switched from a certain OSS tool that seems to have forgotten to make a working version somewhere in the CVS, and before this problem I was in PVR heaven
I love everything about GBPVR, miles ahead than the rest!!
But, playback responce on the MVP is average.
My suggestion here is, to have a function that when a button is pressed, the MVP jumps forward then continues on fastforward. When play is pressed next (while fast forwarding) the program jumps back a set time, maybe 3 seconds, then continues to play.
