  Converting DivX to MPEG2
Posted by: smalldave - 2005-11-24, 04:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,

I'm having problems playing DivX files on my machine. I've been looking around for some free software that will convert my DivX files back to MPEG2 but I'm not having much luck. Anybody got any suggestions?

  MVP & Nova-T USB2
Posted by: svkhtn - 2005-11-24, 03:47 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

Hi,

Just a quick question. Has anyone used MVP and Nova-T USB2 to watch/pause/rewind/ff live TV on a TV set ? Is it fine? How much is the CPU usage on the PC side (BTW, which is the specs of the PC ?) ?

Thanks!

  .net errors when closing GBPVR
Posted by: philip1982 - 2005-11-24, 02:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

see screenshots. Both these errors appear when closing GBPVR - only if I've actually used software - not just opened & closed it.

Hi Have the Hauppauge Nova-t - GBPVR working fine. Can't use remote control though. Added lines of code from Wiki but it still doesn't do anything apart from open the WinTV2000 software.

Videoarchive not working for me....any ideas?
Posted by: dazzle - 2005-11-24, 01:23 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (20)

Hi,

Just been trying to install the videoarchive plugin, specifically to use it for it's dvd2mpeg function. I've got all the right versions of dvd decrypter, besweet and mplex.exe. I've set the plugin up in config, specified the folders for temp, and final recordings etc...

however, when I run the plugin, it starts dvd decrypter very briefly, then closes it down, and ejects my dvd.

If i run dvd decrypter manually, it's fine, picks up the dvd, and i can demux it using the command line switch as specified in the plugin's setup page(with the variables changed to suit)

Any clue as to what I'm missing/doing wrong?

Any input appreciated.

Cheers

daz

  Backing up - GBPVR
Posted by: folkboat - 2005-11-24, 01:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

GBPVR is running perfectly - any clever methods of creating a backup of it to CD?
Granted I could reinstall the app, all plug-ins and reconfigure, however I thought I would ask if anyone is backing things up and how they do it.

Thanks

Fusion HDTV plus + gbpvr + xcard = reboot
Posted by: Rayman - 2005-11-24, 08:27 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

hi - noob here so be gentle.

got fusion hdtv - plus to work (jerkily) using its software, even got gbpvr to get channels and to be able to display using software rendering.

However - as soon as i install xcard drivers and software (can play mpegs using windows media and xmedia ok through the card)

Now -
if i try to play live tv or after it finishes playing an mpg through the xcard using gbpvr the machine REBOOTS.

I can see priview of live tv when in the channel mapping.

Choosing software rendering rather than the xcard - makes no difference -
still get reboot if attempt to livetv.

If i uninstall xcard - software rendering ok.

hardware
PIII 500, 384M 40G drive (test system old compaq SFF ENS)
Dvico fusion HDTV- plus
xcard.

WinXP SP 2

Any ideas ?

Regards
Rayman
