OK I've finally got it working!!! I finally was able to get my ATI HDTV Wonder and my 350 card recording programs at the same time.

Now my problem is that when I play back the HD recording, and try to fast forward, the video just gets stuck, the hard drive cranks like it trying to format c: .

Any advice how get it working? my output card is an Nvidia 5500. and I have 1GB ram with a 1.8gHz.

What BDA muxer are you using? Your CPU may be alittle underpowered if you're using a software-based decoder.

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: E:\AutoDVRconvert_1.3\AutoDVRconvert v1.3\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0813

would it help If I got an ATI card for my output?

Might be worth trying the Microsoft DVR-MS mux option. It seems to perform the best with ATSC HDTV.

Nope that didn't work. I am able to get it playing, and it plays correctly, but it just stops and goes crazy when I try to fastforward. =(

It's driving me crazy I'm soooo close I can feel it. I'm addicted to getting it working! (it's taking up so much of my life just thinking about what the problem could be!)

I also tried to changethe file format to wma but the auto convert throws an error. =\ I also tried to use microsoft encoder, but it takes 15 hours for one show! Yikes.

Is there a way to maybe record in a different format?

Have you tried playing it outside of GBPVR? Does it skip cleanly in Windows Media Player?

What decoder are you using with GBPVR?

No. You could transcode it to wma or avi though. An ATSC stream is already digital when your PC recieves it so it doesn't need to encode it, your PC just copies the bitstream (and applies error-correction, etc) directly to disk.

when it's in media player, it says it can't download the correct codec. What is that problem?

and I tried to convert them with the auto convert, but I keep getting errors.
