I know this is not gb-pvr related but i hope it is ok to ask this in here.
I currently have gb-pvr running on my desktop pc connected to my mvp downstairs via a direct cable connection. I have just been given a P3 laptop which I know I can not use for gb-pvr but would just like to use it for looking in these forums etc. At the moment I have broadband (UK) which I connect to using a USB modem which I have had no problems with for 2 years. What I would like to do is set up a wireless network aswell as the wired for mvp. I have been looking at an ADSL router + pc card for laptop setup, but I don't want to get rid of my USB modem if I will have problems with a router. What I would like to know is can I just get a wireless pci card for my pc and a pc card for my laptop and continue to use my USB modem for internet access or do I have to go down the router road. I have been looking at getting a netgear ADSL router (DG834 GT) and a netgear pc card (WG 111T) so if anybody can advise on this I would be very grateful.
I'd like to see GBPVR have the ability to move converted recordings to a predetermined folder location. For example, if I were to duplicate AND convert my recordings to into the PSP format, I'd like the duplicate files to be moved to a specified folder of my choosing. That way, when I plug in the PSP to transfer some shows over, I only have to look in one place rather than each individual show's folder. Am I making sense?
I've been working on a skin now for a while and it's going pretty OK. While doing the recordings screen i stumbled across something very disappointing. Now I want the "menu" buttons to look like they do in picture 2. and the popup buttons to look like they do in picture 1. Also is there any way of changing the spacing for the popup buttons like in the TV Guide?
And also, how come popups are mostly semitransparent but not in the TV Guide screen?
And lastly if I may, in some places the spacing between buttons is from top to top and in others it's bottom to top. Should be either way throughout the program IMHO.
Anyway thanks for a wonderful program yet again, it's been wonderful to see it develop under the course of almost a year that I've been using it. Great work!
Having multiple tuners, I would expect postprocessing.bat to run on all recordings...however.
When I have recordingst that end at the same time, sometimes they will get processed, and other times, only one of the two (or 3 or 4) will.
There doesn't seem to be any pattern.
Can I do anything to insure that my full postprocessing.bat get's run on all recordings?
Whilst I'm getting a new case sorted out for the PC that will eventually go under the telly, we're testing things out on a laptop that my wife frequently uses for her email etc.
When GBPVR installs, it is only installed for the current user it seems. So if she's logged in, is the recording service still running and will it still record programs? if not, can I set up GBPVR so it can work regardless of who is logged in?
I was burning an episode of a show to DVD today and noticed that shows I've recorded in GB-PVR look great when played back through GB-PVR, but look darker and more saturated when played back through another program like Windows Media Player, or Nero ShowTime.
The show I burned to DVD looks rather dark so I was wondering if there was some way to avoid this problem going forward.
Have just installed a Twinhann 1022A DVB-S card (not the simplest install and I know there is still some tweaking to do) but
The biggest problem I have at the moment (after a week of hair pulling) is that watching sat TV has a very slight pause
every second or so. The same occurs watching programs recorded from the sat card and I have had the PC freeze a couple of
times during recording and on this occasion watching live TV via a MVP. From the PVR150 card all is fine. Does anyone have
any ideas? Is the sat stream likely to be bigger? Is it a buffer setting some ware thatâs too small?

These seem like two separate but somewhat related problems.

I have problems with LiveTV Preview with my PVR-150 card (latest drivers with 95.11). Occasionally after resuming from standby (S3) I get a black screen with LiveTV Preview and any subsequent scheduled recordings are 0bytes. I think it causes an issue with the card/drivers as a full power off (not restart) is required to reset it. I've tried devcon but it says the driver is running and restarting has no effect. There do not appear to be any errors in the various logs that could be the cause (rather than effect).
If I configure for always Timeshift (instead of Live Preview) instead then the problem does not occur (or has not done yet). So are there any differences in handling a PVR-150 between Live Preview and timeshift mode in Live TV? Thanks

I am testing GBPVR on my PC. I have a wintv250 and ATI vidoe card. Everything seems fine except most of time GBPVR playback/liveTV has pixelation on the top of image (just a line across the top, barely notice, but annoying). I changed video card and no difference. On the other hand, playback on WinTV 2000 is ok and image is much more smooth. Any help is appreciated.

I have a multitude of junk channels, which I prefer to NOT see in the TV guide.
I have removed them from the channels tab, and also removed them from the recording sources.
The EPG updates (using labs.zap2it.com), and they're back every time.
I have removed the tick mark from "Complete EPG reload", no difference.
Half the time, I end up with blank spaces in the guide, with the channel name still there, but no programming listed. Half the time, I get channels out of order (like 23 comming after 80), sometimes with, and sometimes without the listings.
Is there a way to permanently disable and remove channels from the guide?
I havnen't checked zap2it to see if there's a method there, for editing my EPG...It would be easier to remove them in gbpvr, with the option to add them back if needed, like when my cable co moves things around again.
