It is not the GUI, it's the GB-PVR.exe that is started as "SYSTEM" user that is using 50% CPU and 40MB memory - just sitting there. Nothing obvious in the logs (just the
Code:
ERROR [2] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="MenuType"]
), no I/O activity. When opening and closing the config application - I get a memory pointer error, "referencing to address 0x00000000".
Earlier I thought it was the weather-plugin but removing that did not help. Can it be other plugins (even though, as I said, it's not the GUI gbpvr.exe)?
I remeber there was some talk about big pending/scheduled recording lists could increase the CPU but can't find it in the forum.

I'm having some problems with videos that have a ratio of 16:9 showing as full screen (4:3). Its kind of annoying looking at tall skinny people all the time. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
I tried running the "fix remote" thing and now my remote doesn't work in GB-PVR or WinTV2000. I was using it to control WinTV2000 without problems right before I tried this, so I know the remote and receiver are fine. I did run "Restart IR." How do I undo whatever it is that "fix remote" did, so that I can at least use my remote in WinTV again?
I've tried all the de-interlacing options in the gb-pvr config program, but I'm still getting bad combing. Is this a glitch with my Hauppauge PVR150, my system configuration, or GB-PVR?
Well now this is quite a problem. I get no sound on either Live TV (if I set the Software 2 Mpeg Playback to Intervideo NonCSS Audio Decoder) but I get sound when I watch my recordings.
If I switch it to other Audio Decoders, I can get sound on my LiveTV but when I watch my recording, there isn't any sound. Weird huh?
P.S. sub, do I need to post my logfile or something so you can figure out what's wrong?
I'll admit that I am not an Apache guru, but I've been playing around with reverse proxy to various resources on my network. My attempts to connect to the GBPVR Web Admin have not been successful. I usually get a 502 bad gateway error. I am using the web server built into GBPVR, but could move to IIS if that would help. The Apache server is on a Linux (Fedora) box. I am not eager to compile and install version 2.2.
Could somebody explain how the <SpecialElements> part of the skin.xml file works?
I've worked out things like the <TextStyle> and <CompositeImage> nodes and the SkinHelper has methods to pull these in but there's nothing that looks like it handles special elements. Am I right in thinking this is a generic section for defining anything which isn't covered by the standard skin.xml elements?
