I am having a really hard time getting the channles from my GB-PVR. I am using a WIN TV- PVR 150 if that helps. I am a really big noob to all of this and any help would be gladly appreciated. I scanned the channels with the tuning assitant, but then I dont know what to do after that because the channle tab in the cinfigure isnt showing up wiht any channles. Thanks -Colin
Anyone know of any good software MPEG2 decoders out there to use with GBPVR? I would like to try a couple different ones to see if I can control the video a little better. My MVP seems to stretch the video slightly so that the sides of the recordings are cut off (about an inch on each side - like its being stretched) and I would like to see if its from my current decoder (XP default decoder)
This is a great remote and it will really help if I can control my TV and sound system via the included infrared blasters. It looks like they will not work with the NZ Pace Sky TV box, which apparently requires an IRDA blaster. Can someone tell me if this is true? Nevertheless, if I can get my number of remotes down from 4 to 2, it will be a bonus.
I got my Cyberlink universal remote to work with my setup, it works great, and all the buttons are wonderful. However, this requires that the focus to be on GBPVR, otherwise it does not work.
I have my system setup as dual tuner with GBPVR on the second monitor (i.e. TV out). I would like to be able to browse the internet while someone else is browsing the net. Is this possible?
I searched the forums and found many solutions for Huappage remotes, but is the same thing possible for Cyberlink Universal?
Here are the symptoms. The Live TV feature in GBPVR is jumpy, playing about 3 fps on average, even though recordings come thru nearly perfect. DVD playback (in any program) is also slower than I recall with occasional jumps in the video. When I set up a large mpeg file, say 2 hours recorded in mpeg 2, for conversion to xvid, the program I use (xmpeg) takes forever to load the file initially (5 gigs or so), sometimes more than 5 minutes. Processing of said file progresses at about 5fps.
The same programs on my laptop work without a problem, and at least the DVD playback used used to be fine on my desktop. Benchmarks (via FreshDiagnose) between my laptop and desktop are comprable in terms of CPU and multimedia capability. However, my desktop is old, and while it has twice as much RAM, it's antique 60ns stuff. I also have a wussy s3 prosavage video card. My computer is firewalled (Zonealarm), AVGed, and regularly scanned with Ad-aware. I recently did a thorough cleaning of the registry. As far as I can tell, everything should be tip-top.
DivX and Xvid files play without a hitch in any player.
Processing(with the same settings/codec--XviD) of the same files on my laptop as mentioned above with the same programs averages at more 20fps, with seamless loading of even massive mpegs. Live TV works with no problem as well. As far as I know, I have the same extra codecs installed on both computers: xvid 1.0x, Divx 5, ac3, et al.
Off the tops of your heads, can you guys tell what might be the issue? Why does it take the mpegs so long to load and why do they process so slowly, what makes livetv so shakey? They seem like related issues, and it is my hope that it isn't hardware related. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi! I would be very happy, if some could create a good working plugin for german users.
The existing Plugin, which is getting it's info from weather.com (msnbc), isn't really good for me.
The font's are to big, the description is complete english (i think it has something to do how the exisiting plugin parse the website), and it really don't look good @ 720 x 576.
I have a problem with GBPVR on my computer. I've recently installed it and first it went well, but after having changed some channels, I got the following
error when I click on "live TV" in GBPVR.exe
