I have installed all the MyVideos and MyDVD utils to burn shows to DVD and went thru the forum looking for various solutions. Here's the problem, I select the shows in MyDVD and start the burn process. Gets past step 1 then hangs on step 2 (the DVDAuthoring part). I ran the convert.bat file thru DOS and get an error about demux.ajb not existing which in my D:\Temp dir there is no file, just temp.xml. When reading the guide it says I can demux files if I burn many shows but for now I am experimenting. I tried running demux commands at DOS as described in the forum:
demux.exe -a demux_queue.txt d:\video\reba\reba.mpg (this part works)
demux.exe -d demux_queue.txt (get a common language runtime debugging service window and error in dos about it being out of bounds of array)
Is demux required before running convert.bat? What am I missing? Thanks!

I am having a wierd issues that I've seen alluded to in some posts, but never diagnosed (that I could find). I got an MVP this weekend and was having connection issues without the Hauppauge software installed. I have a DHCP server, and the MVP was acquiring an IP address (from DHCP logs). I installed the Hauppauge software and everything worked. I disabled the Hauppauge services, added the MVP Server shortcut to my startup and rebooted. Everything seemed to come up fine but I noticed that "My Music" was missing and I was unable to browse to network directories through "Video Library". I noticed two GBPVR.EXEs running, so I chose to "Stop PVR Recording Service" from GBPVR Start Menu. All of a sudden My Music showed up as did my ability to browse networks. I rebooted and the same thing happened over again. Is there something I should be doing differently? Does anyone else experience this?
Hi All - Thanks for your help in getting my new MVP connected yesterday.
I'm connected to the server, have access to all menues, can see the existing catalog of recordings, I can even browse the guide and schedule new recordings...
BUT, I can't see video of any kind - no previous recording, no live TV, etc.
Set-up: Lastest GBPVR software (which is working fine & playing video on the computer monitor). MVP was plugged in and NO Hauppauge software was installed.
I've read that I installing the Hauppauge MVP software will install some stuff that's needed by the MVP, BUT I've also read that none of the Hauppauge software is needed. I do have the latest decoder files off the Hauppauge support site which I used to the the computer-only video to play.
Hi,
Have been running GBPVR version 92.11 very successfully for some time. However, a power supply blow up, meant hard disk corruption, and I've had to reinstall everything. We also took the opportunity to upgrade the sound card.
I've now installed version 94.13, and when GBPVR is running (not just the Recording Service) it does something every 5-7 seconds which takes up to 50% of the processor power.
When running Windows Media Player at the same time, this causes a huge stutter and distortion in the music. You don't necessarily notice what's it's doing to other programs, but I'm sure it never used to do this.
Can you tell us what GBPVR is doing (nothing gets written to the logs) and confirm that it is more recent that 92.11.
I still have the msi for 92.11 and am thinking of reverting back to it, to make sure there's no conflicts with the new sound card.
Cheers.
Hello all. is there anyway to disable the GB-PVR screensaver when looking at a slideshow? I've tried both My Pictures and Picture Library, the screensaver kicks in at the default time. I could just disable the saver in config.exe, but I like it to work when listening to net raio my music files. Any help would be very appreciated.....
On the Wiki it states that this device is supported. By doing search on the forums, It says that the only supported device from the Adaptec is the VideoH USB Edition. It states that the PCI Version is not supported.
The confusion starts on the CaptureCards page from the Wiki, where it mentions that the Conexant Based device is supported. However only the PCI version is Conexant based. The USB device is actually LSI, not Conexant.
When I do LiveTV on GBPVR, it goes black for 2 seconds and it returns back to the Blue Main menu. I cannot find the direct.log file that is talked about on the forums so that I can diagnose or get some type of errors.
My card works fine with SnapStream Beyond TV, but i Really would like to use GBPVR as I hear is a great program.
What I would like , to start with, in order to diagnose:
How can a I generate a direct.log file ?
Just exactly how can I create a graph with graphedit ? I see other posters send the graphedit capture but no one mentions exactly how to generate it?
In OnKeyDown(...), I want to simply identify if the the key is from 0-9, i.e., kind of an 'IsNumeric' type step. When I programmed with C years ago I'd have probably converted to ASCII then just checked if the value was between 0x30 and 0x39. Does C# offer anything cleverer than this?
I'm now satisfied about my GVPR Box, it's fully working and I don't have any problem with it. I should say that sub is doing a fantastic job. I've tried many other PVR software and GBPVR is the best one so far.
Now I have integrated a LCD on my GBPVR box (a MO serial model). I had this LCD from a long time and do not want to change it. It is working fine using LCDsmarties (i can't make it run using jaLCD) but it's not linked with GBPVR.
I would like to have the LCDplugin equivalent but for LCDsmartie. What would it be difficult to convert it (as the source code is provided) ?
I had "my videos", "my pictures", "my music" installed and working great. Then GBPVR.exe and "Gbpvr MVP server" started hanging on start (gbpvr.exe creates process but its window never opens and also hangs .net on exit if system is restarted - if GBPVR.exe process is terminated first then .net exits ok).
I desabled all the plugins and gbpvr runs correctly. It also runs ok with my pictures active and my video disabled. The log below is from a run with my picures and music disabled and myvideos enabled which hangs as described:

I have made no configuration changes involving actors (I do not need that funtionality at all and have found no place to configure that stuff). I tried reinstalling all my videos files except for the database (I'd like to keep it if possible), but made no difference.
Any advice would be appreciated
