I thought I'd revive this topic of using the Xbox Media Center (XBMC) as a frontend for GB-PVR (rather than perhaps MediaMVP).
I was recently searching the forums at MediaPortal when I came upon a user who was able to create a python script and dll to control MediaPortal through XBMC. (http://home.iprimus.com.au/miarose/)
anyone know of a product similiar to gbpvr that focus only on music? in other words i would like to use a pc to deliver music to my entertainment center (stereo/tv) in the living room with an interface simiular to MCE (my music) that works with a remote control. i know it's a lot to ask, but i am anyway!
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but doing a search it looks like most questions are here. I've been playing with the tweak tool and thought I had the settings correct. Unfortunately now everytime the PC get's rebooted the colors have gone to white/pastel. I can go back in to the tweak tool and reset to defaults/save with live tv looking correct. Reboot and it goes back to white/pastel so I assume the registry settings are not getting saved. Any ideas on how to get the registry settings back to where they were to begin with?
I have a problem with the XMLTV import. I have three channels that are imported with the wrong source channel number. I've removed them and readded them with the correct source channels, but when the xmltv import is run the channels are added as duplicates with the wrong source channels... If I change the source channel numbers on the imported channels they are just changed back at the next import... The xmltv data doesn't contain any source channel numbers right? So where do they come from?
I find channel management is a bit too tricky at the moment in GBPVR...
I should be fine if there was one options to automatically execute something after hibernate.
If You run GBPVR without explorer.exe as shell, your wireless LAN probably won´t rock again after hibernate. In the same way you might wan´t to update your EPG to latest version before you start acting.
So an option in GBPVR specifying a path to a CMD-file or what ever, executed after hibernate, should be a handy solution.
I using GB-PVR with my WinTV PVR-350 and IR remote. I have TV out enabled. Is there any way to use the IR remote while having the GB-PVR window on my PC minimized?
