Using PVR150 remote, when I press record watching live TV, the ir blaster changes my external cable box to channel 16 (always), then starts recording. What's up with that? Otherwise the remote works ok - except no controls of imported recordings (divX, etc - perhaps because GBPVR doesn't play these files itself but hands off to another player?). Remote works fine on GBPVR recordings.
I'm wondering if this is some sort of conflict between the Hauppauge apps and GBPVR. I use GBPVR ONLY, so I have no use for any Hpge apps - do I need any of them? Maybe I need Hpge drivers only?
I understand that "GB-PVR needs to use some dlls from the IR software (IR.exe)" (from the manual) so that would have to be installed, but for simplicity am I better just to use GBPVR internal control of my remote?
I tried adding an xml feed for a news site I use frequently called digg.com
(http://www.digg.com/rss/index.xml) however, I get an error from the RSS-Reader.
I've installed a MVP, after using GBPVR for a short time on a newly installed Media PC running XP Pro. Using the Hauppauge SW, the MVP plays movies and music fine. However, if i set the GBPVR as server, i get the GBPVR menu on the MVP, can see all the my files etc, but nothing will play - I just get a blank screen. In some cases the MVP says a song is currently playing, but there is no sound. Its as if the streaming is not happening.
It's probably a simple problem, but I cant see what I've done wrong, and I've been through the forum but cant find a similar error reported.
I have tried to capture from my Sapphire Theatrix in several resolutions lower than the PAL full of 720x576 with a number of programs including GBPVR with no success.
Whatever resolution I set the end capture is always at the maximum resolution of 720x576 and this happens with all programs.
Do you have any ideas to overcome this problem? Is this an ATI 550 Pro limitation or is it a driver problem?
I like to keep my computer running GBPVR running all the time. I already have the remote set up to turn on GBPVR, now if anyone knows how, to turn off the monitor using the remote?
Or if you know a key command that could do it, i couldt just write that in the remote.ini?
Let me know if you guys have any ideas. If this has alreayd been posted, ive tired searching please give me a link.
Question, is there some way I can create a custom task to start playing a video file in a fixed location of my harddrive?? I want is so I can download a file at certain times of the day, and have that video file available from a menu option. I'd rather not have to put it in recordings or in with my other video files.
Regardless of the skin I use, The whole window has a white border around it. I can adjust the picture to stretch it out past the edges of the screen but I don't really want to do that as it causes the OSD to disappear off the bottom of the screen. This is everywhere inscluding TV and when watching videos. Any ideas?
after the server change from the weekend, it seems the email link to the forum, from a post subscription, points to forum.gbpvr.com rather that forums.gbpvr.com.
Hey Guys have you found that Live TV stops upon entering into it (on the Media MVP). You even see the green stop button in the top right hand corner, then to get it going you have to press the play button again.
Has anyone figured out a way to get around this so when you go into Live TV from the main menu you don't have to press play?
