Is it possible to send key commands to GB-PVR without having to make GB-PVR the active applicaiton/window?
I'm in the mist to getting HIP to provide extra key functions to "make GB-PVR the active window" as it seems all the other keys require this. My issue is that I'd like to do this in a way that doesn't impact a different person who is using the PC/Monitor for other purposes (i.e. one person watch TV/GB-PVR, another one using the PC on primary monitor). I'm using the MCE Remote option in GB-PVR config by the way.
It's pretty basic. Shows some information about how much EPG data you have, the size of your root drive, and recordings drive. Also shows what your machine will do when idle.
I've had it working with Blue and BlueMCE2 skins and GB-PVR 94.12.
Needs CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll to run (included in zip)
Comments welcome.
And if anyone wants, I've converted a plugin skeleton to VB.net rather than C#.
I`m new to this, and I`m thinking about buying a TV card to use it with my Hughes sat box. What`s the best card out there? (it should wake up the computer, etc)
There seems to be a problem with Unicode support in Music Library. I have some folders and MP3 files whose names are in Japanese. The folders appear fine in ML (see the first attachment), but not the files themselves (see second one)
Zap2it allows a user to filter on various types of television shows/genres, would it be possible to add that functionality to the GBPVR TV listings screen? Just a thought....
How do I find out which codecs are the system defaults for my computer? I looked under control panel->system->device manager->sound, video, game controllers->video codecs, but I couldn't find anything that indicated defaults. I also downloaded vcswap, but again, no indication of defaults
I'd also like to find out which mux filter is being used by gbpvr, however I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I assume I could find the answer in one of the log files, no?
The audio volume on live-tv, playback and fm-radio is tooooo low!
To understand something, I have to set all system volumes (master and wave) to the upper limit. Then I have to level up the speakers audio to 2/3 of the maximum. (Normally: master: 30%, wave 30% and speakers 1/3)
Is is very hard, because any system sound (shutdown, program-start) is so load, that my all the people in this house could hear this...
When I play the recordings with the windows-media-player, poverDVD or nero showtime, the volume is ok. But in gbpvr it is to low!
(The MVP-audio is OK)
I've tried alle the audio decoders and renderers, but it would not be better.
And this renderers:
System default
Soundmax digital audio
Cyberlink audio renderer
Cyberlink audio renderer (PDVD6)
Direct sound device
Wave out device
DirectSound: Soundmax digital audio
I've looked in the keyboard reference for a gbpvr-owned volume, but there is nothing. There is only an entry for the music-library.
I feel really bad about making all of these threads as I try to skin. Is there a list somewhere of whats skinnable and whats not? (Or whats hardcoded?).
Or could I just make this a running thread for that and I'll add the items to a skinning section on the wiki as they are revealed .
Thus far, for not skinnable/caveats I have found:
- Menu: MoreUp/MoreDown markers restricted to a certain size.
- TV Guide: Current Time markers not skinnable,
- Panels: Not possible to 'overlay'/transparency text on top of text (Have the date overlay over top of the clock), it simply clears whatever is below it. Only usuable in main menu.
- LiveTV: Channel numbers which appear when keyed in seem to be unskinnable.
