Is there any way I can invoke a manual recording either through a command line or by modifying the file with the scheduled recordings (don't know where that is)?
The reason I want to do this is because after a reboot, the pvr-250 driver does not do closed-captioning for the first recording. I would like to put something in the system startup to take care of this automatically. I would hate to have to resort to "AutoIt"...
sub....my wife just pointed out to me that with this release the aspect ratio showing on the MVP is not correct. I am in 4:3 and the logo in the bottom right hand corner is only half showing...the other half is off the screen.
This wasn't present in the 92.12 release....any ideas?
My PVR150 remote works fine with MPEG (gbpvr) encoded files. With my other files (which are all DivX) the remote controls like fast forward, pause, stop, rewind - have no effect.
I can only press MENU and exit.
Does GBPVR hand off to another player for DivX that uses different functions/keystrokes to achieve these operations?
Oh to not be a newbie ... someday perhaps.
When I run out of old ShowShifter recordings to watch - this problem will go away, but that will take some time.
Turned on the TV today to see "no scheduled recordings" ... HUH??
Found out my TV guide wasn't being updated somehow (my zap2it account is still good for at least another month) so I did a manual epg update. Now when I go into GB-PVR there's nothing in the what's new list, and everything that WAS in the what's new list is now flagged as failed, even though it did indeed record! Any ideas??
Are there any plugins developed in vb.net? I am new to vb.net (familiar with vb6) and GBPVR. I would like to get sample plugin code developed under vb.net. Anyone develop in vb.net? thanks!
If you decide to use the recycler. I have tested that when I delete a file it gets copied to the specified directory. Note! your directories need to be matched for example if the file is on f:\video\x.mpg and your recycler directory is c:\recycler. I will delete the file. It must be on the same drive like f:\recycler
It is new and I am sure there are some bugs. Please let me know if you have problems or if it works great.
v.41 2005-09-27
*Rectracker add -subtitle to purge line
it will add logic to skip a show if it typically contains subtitles and for whatever reason
the epg has the generic description
*sort reoccurring by default
*fixed resoltion bug for xrecord and xsearch
*added some code to try to fix the missing image bug
*In pending if you hit ctrl-r it pulls up a comming soon list. Hit ctrl-r again and it will show a weekly list.
* added a ctrl-r equavlent in ready and xvideo with recent recordings. weekly and today
* include new cdk
*wrote a tool called the recycler. When it runs it checks a directory lets say [c:\recycled] not windows recycler.
If the amount of free space is below the user specified limit we will start deleting the oldest file out of this
directory. until the amount of free space is above this limit.
while ( checks the space )
{
removes oldest from recycler dir
}
* can create a file called gbpvr\recycler.txt see sample 1recycle.txt
if that file is found xrecord will use the recycler.
I'm trying to figure out how rectracker works with xrecord in scheduling dups or not. Currently I have the following setup
1) scheduled 2 shows
the first is the Three Stooges which have unique ID's and are set for no dups
the second is 60 minutes which appears to have the same id so dups are yes
2) postprocessing.bat has the rectracker %1 line in it
Does xrecord (priorityrecordings.xml) use the info that rectracker gathers in the postprocessing.bat file to determine whether the show is a duplicate or not? What is rectracker -purge in the postupdateepg.bat for? When I put rectracker - purge in postupdateepg.bat it whacks 60 minutes everytime even though I said schedule/record duplicates in the xml.
Any pointers re why I may be getting a black screen for "Live TV", but playback of recorded shows work? If I go to live tv I hear audio but the screen is black, then I cancel to go to main menu and for a split second I do see the picture. Meanwhile recording and playing back recordings works. I was using system default for the MPEG-2 decoder so I'm not really sure which one was being used when things were working (before I installed Adobe).
Whats Changed - FYI - I had things working but did install a trial version of Adobe Premier Elements.
Setup
- Twinhan DVB-T card
- drivers from as suggested
- had to manually register one of the twinhan DLL's too from memory (based on another post)
Would be nice for people like me that only have dialup to have some kind of extra little program that would download the zap2it listings to a file and then be able to update the listings from a file.
i have high speed internet at work, just not at home. i want to be able to download the listings on my laptop and tranfer them when i get home.
I recently upgraded to 94.13 and now my zap2it only downloads 3 days worth of information. I tried downgrading back to the last version i had (93.10), but it still continues to do that. anyone else have/heard of this?
