I'm not sure if anyone here has had the occasion to need a product like this, but does anyone know of something that can connect to the audio out (or USB) from my HTPC and wirelessly (maybe 900Mhz or 2.4GHz) create a set of RCA type or mini-jack headphone plug at the recieving end?
I have one of those bose sound wave radio/cd players in my kitchen and it has an AUX input. Sometimes I want to be able to hear the music off my HTPC on that radio, but I don't want to run a 30' RCA cable through doorways and all that crap.
Still playing about with it and just been checking the logs again and it looks like theres some other info in there now i didnt see before including some error codes near the end. can you take a look please and see if they mean anything?

Due to switching from NTL to Freeview, I am selling my redremote serial IR blaster. I use it with a PACE box with no problems, but apparently it supports all NTL, Sky and Telewest boxes (but not Sky+). It is listed on ebay as item number 5804285496. They cost £28.50 new from http://www.redremote.co.uk/serial/, so I have set minimum bid to £10; basically I just want some money towards the USB-UIRT that I need for my freeview box.

This is very short, and it works!
VideoReDo is known for it's ability to use fades on cuts, and maintain audio sync, something that mpgtx (with comclean) didn't always do.
So for those of you that have VideoReDo, but want gbpvr to automatically cut the commercials, using either a comskip generated .vprj (videoredo cutlist) or a ShowAnalyzer generated .vprj, here's how.
1) Get VideoReDo if you don't have it already. 15 day trial is free, but the program is ~$50. It works so well, I'm seriously tempted to actually buy it http://www.videoredo.com
2) Set up comskip or SA to output the videoredo project file (.vprj)
In comskip.ini, add the line: output_videoredo=1
In SA, open config, Global, Output tab, and put a tick in the "Output VideoReDo Project file.

3) Modify your postprocessing.bat so it looks like this:

Note that I'm also using renamerecordings, which works perfectly.
Delete the last line if you're not using it.
Remove the REM from the appropriate line above. The second, if you're using SA, the fourth, if you're using comskip.
If you are using PVRPowertray, and PreProcessing.bat, then just run SA from there, and leave this file as is.
Copy and paste the content above, into notepad, and save it as "PostProcessing.bat" (including the quotes) in the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr folder

This version adds the processing of sound. Blackframes are only detected when there is also silence.
As a result you will need much less tuning.
If you are not an expert I recomment to use verbose=5 as maximum.
A long outstanding bug that caused comskip to sometimes crash has been solved.
The blackframe detection performance has been restored to the quality of release 0.69. without the need to do much tuning.
Disclaimer 1:
Only use this upgrade when you have logo's on shows and a lot of errors with the previous version.
Disclaimer 2:
Some mpeg editors mess up the PTS/DTS sequence, some digital broadcast streams create "strange" mpeg stream. The mpeg decoder used in comskip is not very robust and the picture/sound synchronisation is also not very robust
If no black frames are detected (look in the log) you may have picture/sound missynchronisation.
I wished this all was simpler, Jere must have a lot of time to make SA, or should I send my wife on a 2 month holiday? :o
I'm still having the same problem with my nova-t as yesterday (gbpvr was unable to start the bda device you have configured.... I noticed earlier on that a user called perico reported exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. you asked him for the logs and he submitted them but then the thread ends. i've replied to that thread but i doubt if perico will reply as it was a while ago.
Can you remember what was the cause and whether you fixed it or not. i just thought if you saw that post it might jog your memory.
In the meantime im going to install gbpvr and my nova-t on my other laptop and try it out there....

Some people have said they had problems because their mdb file was deleted.
If you are interested I have a freeware file restoration utility for XP that works pretty well. Its called "Restoration" Version 2.5.14
The sooner you restore the better because after a while the deleted files get overwritten and are not recoverable especially if you ar low on disk space.
If you can not find it via google or whatever let me know and I'll find out where I downloaded it from.

As several other users of the pvr350, using the tv-out, I have experienced quite some lip-sync issues in particular while watching a program that is being recorded. On the (Dutch) hauppauge forum it was suggested to check bios and ide-drivers. Thus I did. Just installed an update of the udma driver for my pundit (well in fact installed the one that came on the cd). This appears to have improved the situation. But, and now comes the interesting bit:
When I pause a file that is recorded and resume with the pause key, lip sync is poor. However, if I resume with the play key, lip sync is OK. I tested it several times and it appears to be this way 9 out of 10 times. If lip sync is poor due to resuming with the pause key, pressing play will restore sync in most cases!!
Sub, is there an explanation for my observation?

Loosely related is the fact that I still think it's non-ergonomical that to resume a paused video, both the pause and play key work, whereas for paused music file, only the play key works.
