My system is a WinTV-NOVA-T-USB2, Soundblaster Live! card, P4 2.8GHZ HT CPU, 1.5GB RAM.
When watching live TV the audio and video is synced fine but when watching recordings in GBPVR and MediaPlayer the audio is out of sync to the video by about a second. From MuxChecker I'm using
im finally able to playback a ratdvd on my htpc, it turns out ffdshow was screwing it up (just incase anyone else is pulling out their hair, btw im now bald). anyway, i got it to work in Media Player 10, and NVDVD but for some reason i keep getting this error in GBPVR
Code:
14/08/2005 6:19:11 p.m..687 VERBOSE [2] About to play DVD volume: d:\my videos\dvds\Dazed and Confused.ratDVD\

and ive got no more hair to pull out (so i guess ill start on my eyes). sub any idea whats going wrong? is it something i can fix? ive no longer got ffdshow on my system (will try and update it and see if it works).
ive been able to play ratdvds thru myvideos if i use the playvideofile(string) api call, which allows me to navigate the menus (using the mouse only, which is expected) but when i click to play the movie (or any trailer etc) it stops.
if i use the video library i get the above error, if i play it thru the api call
playdvdfromiso(string)
i get the above error, oh btw that is the call i should be using right? there isnt a new one say playratdvd?
i konw i should have tested this in the prerelease but errr i wasnt sure about ratdvd, im still not sure, im at the stage im just so frustrated with the bloody thing i want to kick it, but i also want it to work, ive wasted the last few days with this (took 10hours ish to rip the dvd).
also gbpvr can (in theory) play a rat dvd like any other dvd right? like we can navigate using the same remote commands, yellow = next audio, green = next subtitle etc? or is the mouse required to navigate the menus?
I am working on a new plugin, and I really could use a few people to help test and help me work out the interface.
The pluging is a replacement for Net Radio. My plugin plays shoutcast streams, same as Net Radio, but I am also saving each song to a seperate MP3 file. From within the interface, you can jump back to any song you have recorded. Of course, the stream is still recording while you are listening to an old song.
Saving each song to MP3 works fairly well, but not perfectly. The data sent to tell what song is playing does not always come exactly when a song starts, but it work close enough.
Anyhow, if you use Net Radio and would like to help me with some testing, please let me know be either replying to this thread or a private message. I will have the software ready for testing in a couple of days.
After about 15-20 minutes of watching TV i will go to change the channel and my computer will lock up and I have to reboot. I am able to change the channels after I have started the program. It's only after it has been running for a little bit that t will do this.
I currently am running the program on a p3 933, 512meg ram, WinTV PVR350 (i'm using the tv and audio out of the tuner), and a 40gig hard drive with WinXP.
Also, when I use the software that came with the tv tuner, it never freezes up, no matter how long I have it running.
Hey jorm, don't know if you can help. When I'm in GBPVR (the latest version), I click on XRecord. I am in that section and I click on videos. When I click on that, I get "Error: Out of Memory". It only happens when I choose a particular folder. Could it just be a folder problem? I can access that folder through the normal GBPVR videos section.
I am trying to download the zap2it directories. it always hangs. it continues to say requesting listings (once it managed to say processing listings, but hanged for 30 minutes there). is this normal for it to take long?
I have been playing with net radio on the new release. The sound quality over my suround sound via my MVP is kind of tinny, like a transitor radio. It also sounds like this on the PC. It sounds the same way using fm radio from my 150mce. I thought it was just the 150 tuner in the past but I would think the net radio would be a good clean sound. I just do not know what to expect. I just have onboard sound on my PC and cheap speakers but the MVP plays through the suround sound. Is there something to set or do I need some other decoder, etc?
