I eventually got it going, with the Twinhan DVB-T and the latest BDA's I got it running. It took some searching on your site to find out about the (trial) versions of Cyberlink/Intervideo APPS to get the MUX's installed. I think these should be up the top of a FAQ, but they made all the difference with recording anything.
FFDShow also helped the output quality immensly, cleared any jerkyness of recorded shows for me.
So my issues at the moment,
I use the 'Overlay' option to force 16:9 on my Composite TV output (otherwise I get 4:3) but the overlay buttons (+ - || Exit) show a little higher than where they are, I have to click about an inch below the picture on-screen. (told you they were minor) but where did the 16:9 switch go from the config (as pictured on your site)? I guess this as a minor bug to a wish but...
When setting a recording the <--> buttons at the end of the lines on Quality etc are not mouse-click controlled, everything else seems to be but I gotta get my keyboard out for this one.
I think the app should be able to index current files in the media directory rather the DB'ing only those GB-PVR recorded, if it's to be used as a main front-end app and all.
I think a review of the plug-in files/skin would be good to, about time they got re-instated in this forum-board as download files or something and indexed/locatable a bit better.
Beyond this, I love it, great program that with a little effort (as with all these PVR's) it really works well and so far very reliably. The Web support is a treat.
Oh and that reminds me, in the TV Guide within the app it would be great to have a day/time and next/prev page selectors like in the web version, and perhaps a type-in searcher. I would really like to list titles for recording even if they are not in the guide too. Here in Aus, just occasionally, shows are put on at wierd times of the day and night, would be good to include 'future' programs.
I would like to help I have a KWORLD V-STREAM XPERT DTV-DVB-T {Conexant 2388x chip} pci card
If you add this
[Kworld Xpert DTV - DVBT]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=DigiGo DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=DigiGo DVBT 2388x Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=BDA MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
to the bda.ini file
You can get this card to work with the latest drivers Version V4.0.108.0
from kworlds site
I don't install full download just the drivers
I hope this helps
Are the drivers in the 2.1 package BDA drivers? I see hcw88bda.inf etc which would make me think so. But when the driver is installed under driver details there is no files with bda in them. ? :confused:
The card doesnt even work with wintv2k using the 2.1 package, but works fine using the 1.3, still doesnt work with gbpvr either.
Are there 3rd party bda drivers for this card like the 909etc? (Ive tried the ones from technotrend.de then realised I didnt have that card)
Is it possible to manually input the frequency into the GBPVR anywhere. I'm not having much joy at all with Freqcopy, but my TV company (NTL) has all the channels frequencies listed on it's website, so if I could input them manually it would be superb.
Has any one got a working remote.ir file for this set up. I posted about this before and I did not know at the time that my Bell 6020 box had a VHF remote. I was able to get one from a friend that is IR and it will change the chanel on the box and GBPVR seems to take the commands from it but it still will not work. The real strange thing is each time I create the .ir file (I have tried a few times) if I open it in notepad it is not the same ie. each file had a few lines that are not the same so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I know the IR2000 is working becaude I was able to program it with my vcr remote and then change the channel on my vcr via GBPVR but I am stuck on what is going on with my bell box.
Hey, gbpvr is working great and with a new processor/mobo its running better than ever. My only issue is that if I change the channel too many times the video starts to stutter. If I go back to the root menu and then hit live tv the problem goes away. This only happens when im surfing and usually after 7 or 8 quick channel changes.
So my girlfriend asked me to add functionality to get her started burning DVDs from shows she recroded at a medium quality. I followed the guide a while ago, and yesterday tried the for dummies guide. Now I feel dumb because I still couldn't get it to work. It hangs at step 2 of 3 when trying 2 shows. I left it for about 2 hours to no avail.
Are there any suggestions?
In a future version can you include a progress indicator?
