Not sure if someone has suggested this but if anyone has used tivo before one thing it has is the ability to turn off the recording if you try to change the channel, so far in gbpvr i have seen it ask me if i want to watch the recording in progress or not watch tv at all. I think there should be an option to stop the recording, unless there is an easy way to do it that iam overlooking...
Ok I am having trouble getting the webadmin to work. I go to the web address localhost:8080/gbprv/index.aspx (changed port to 8080 in config). All I get is cannot find server error page. I have also tryed to get it to work by installing IIS and directing the home to the /web folder. This didn't work eather. Any Ideas.
I am having problems with ComSkip. It is crashing after I upgraded to 0.71. I have attached a screenshot with the crash information. Hopefully someone can shine some insight on this.
Anyone tried using DirectX as the renderer for a plugin ? I've got it working but it's slow - needs a readback from the rendertarget buffer and slow conversion to a bitmap for the return from 'render'...
Hi; I am in the planning stages of building a new Win XP PC (w/PVR functionality). Will these componets make an okay GB-PVR machine?
Fudin Scorpio Case w/6 80mm fans Fry's $65
EVGA GeForce 256 FX5500 Video Card (or should I stick w/5200 or 6200?) NewEgg $59
MSI K7N2 Socket A Mobo (versus the socket 939) NewEgg $65
AMD Athlon 2800+ Barton 333MHz FSB CPU (w/fan and heatsink) @ 2.083 GHz NewEgg $100
Two (2) Maxtor 200GB UATA HD Fry's $70 each
Two (2) PVR-150 Cards pcAlchemy $90 each
1 GB Kingston (2x512) Fry's $100
Generic DVD-Rom Fry's $20
Memorex Dual Format / Double Layer DVD Burner Fry's $90 before $30 rebate
overkill? underkill? It came up to $800. I'm thinking about building the Win XP machine in two steps 1) Just the XP box w/one HD and no 150 cards and then adding those later. Initial outlay o'cash would be $530 or so. Could be cheaper but I don't have any spare parts (such as cases, drives and such) lying around.
I have 2 Hauppauge Nova-t (90002) DVB cards. Latest drivers now support having 2 cards on 1 PC. I was wondering does gbpvr support having more than one TV card? More importantly will it allow me to watch one channel & record on another or record off both? at the same time?
Ive only just decided to start using the My Music plugin to rip CD's from within GB-PVR. I already had DBPowerAmp installed, but followed the rest of the instructions in the WiKi. Ive configured the plugin in the config app but when running My Music it flashes breifly (1-2 sec) to the 'video now playing...' black screen as if playing video through my PVR-350 and displays the error message above.
Any ideas?? The suspect part of thwe log file is as follows:

I am having a problem with the OSD in Liveview. I get the overlay, but no Picture (Black Screen). I have a LifeView TV Walker mini (USB 2.0) Version. I get a (poor quality) picture using the native Software it came with (TV Walker), with all channels.
I have updted quatz.dll from DirectX 9b and updated to the most recent MPEG2 driver for PowerDVD 5. No joy.
Can anyon ehelp with this log below?
Thanks & rgds

The last 5 days the TV guide wasn't updated, I checked Windows task manager and started it again. When i wanted to update the EPG in GB-Config (not wanting to wait till the nightly update) I get this mysterious message:
XMLTV: Error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: "46". Key being added:"46"
And the TV guide stays empty, the source "guide.xml" is up to date though and in capture source it's named.
Is that possible?
I can't try it now as I only have 1 PVR250 card, but was wondering is it's possible?? I just don't want GBPVR to schedule like 2 recordings concurrently (I'm using PriorityRecordings, btw) and leave me with no tuner to watch LiveTV on my MVP...
