  No Audio
Posted by: Don - 2005-07-23, 07:01 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I posted this problem a few times but did not get any responses and was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem. I have not had any problems when recording one show, the problem I have is when I record back to back shows. I tried recording Stargate last weekend when they played it for 12 straight hours. When I record the shows, I get no audio on a couple of the recordings. Everything works great for 1 or 2 shows then no audio. Then it records fine for a few shows then no audio. Since no one has had this problem, does any one have any guesses where I should look like CODEC's or ???

Posted by: erik - 2005-07-23, 06:01 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (11)

I have posted comskip 0.71
It can be found here

It contains a description of all tunable parameters and the cvs file format and it has some improvements in aspect ratio recognition.

Have fun!

Is there a Meedio plug-in for GBPVR?
Posted by: meedio - 2005-07-23, 03:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I'm trying to integrate GBPVR with Meedio to watch Live TV directly from Meedio. There currently is a Beyond TV3 plugin. I was hoping there was one for GBPVR.

  RenameRecordings Problem
Posted by: BigT - 2005-07-23, 02:09 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (3)

I have been using GBPVR for about 2 weeks and love it but I have a problem with Renamerecordings. I have comskip, comclean and renamerecordings in my postprocessing.bat file. Comskip and Comclean work fine but renamerecordings doesn't run but I can run it from the DOS prompt and it works. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
Tom

Hiding Windows - run GBPVR from the start
Posted by: drewkaree - 2005-07-23, 12:22 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (32)

I want to hide any and all traces of Windows and simply have GBPVR be the first thing that shows up.

In addition, I'd like to know if, after hiding Windows, there is anything (or steps for me to follow) I can do to lock ANYONE out from accessing Windows unless they use a specific set of keys to avoid the accidental "the kids hit a button and now we can't figure out how to get it back" scenario.

Is this possible, and how would I go about doing/enabling it?

  Multiple XP Pro Users

I have installed GBPVR as the administrative user. I also have several other users on my PC, that I normally use, including Limited Users that I used for guests. However, the install appears to have only installed the application for the administrator. Is there a way to correct this?

Thanks,

amaddux

My Videos, Paused Movies & PIN protected directories
Posted by: DEfusion - 2005-07-22, 09:31 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

If I have a directory protected by a PIN and I watch a movie in there & exit half way through, then it is added to the Paused Movies section, this I feel is a little poor.

But the worst part is if I try to watch the movie from the Pause Movies section I am not asked to enter the PIN to watch the movie.

I would prefer it if PIN protected movies were not listed in the Pause Movies folder. I would also like an option to hide protected folders within My Movies and a keyboard shortcut to show the protected folders.

Just an idea,

-D

  A few questions
Posted by: Don Speekingleesh - 2005-07-22, 07:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Is there any easy way to program the channels when you know the frequencies? I'm not sure if it's because I'm in Ireland and using the UK settings, but I can't find all the channels and several are very bad reception when I use the TuningAssistant.

Also (for the few channels I have tuned) the picture is very stuttery. Is there any way to fix this? (The gfx card is an ATI Radeon PowerColor9250, connected to the TV with an s-video cable.)

Thanks!

(Loving GBPVR BTW!)
