just a few small bug fixes nothing major, just fixed all the little bugs and improved on things as i came across them (so i cant remember exactly what ive changed, but i changed a few things).
what i know i fixed
- stupid playdvdfolder bug.
- onscreen keyboard lookup starting text (the text that is shown in the onscreen keyboard when you choose a lookup, its more logical now, like subtitle is shown for a episode lookup etc).
there are more things than that, but hey bad memory.
enjoy.
ps its still using the old skin, so no skin changes, and it doesnt use the updated skin system that my pictures 3 will use (system? err you know what i mean).
I'm trying to install on Windows 2003 Server. First error I get is "Invalid drive E:/". When I change one of my CD drives to be E: (so that such a drive exists), I get a "The folder My Music contains and invalid character". Installing on XP works fine, except that my PVR-150 is not installed in my XP machine. Will you support installation on Windows Server 2003, or will I have to install XP on my server (eww...)
So for a while I've been trying to wonder why when I use the My Music Plugin, my computer does not go into hibernate mode. While working on something completely different, I hit into some problems that led me to a hypothesis--something that lets me listen to MP3 files does not unload from memory: Maybe it's the LAME MP3 files.
Now this is just a hypothesis, but my questions are:
1. Has anyone heard of this possibility?
2. Is there a way to see which DLLs are loaded into memory?
3. Is there a way to unload DLLs after they are used ( i already tweaked my registry, and it's not taking care of the problem)
To view my german "Premiere"-Pay-TV with an external Receiver, I've programmed a little channel changer.
It works very good, BUT:
Premiere is using a PIN-Code for adult-movies (begins when the german FSK is for 12 years or higher).
My problem is, that the pin-code-question comes just some minutes after the begin of the movie.
To avoid recordings with a black screen and a little pin-code window, I programmed a little tool, that can recognize the pin-code-window and send the pin-code via IR to the receiver.
Here can GBPVR help:
I need a little image-file (bmp, jpg etc.) that will show a screenshot of the running movie. e.G. every 10 secons.
My software could read this file and send the pin.
Is it possible to get the last keyframe (every 10 seconds) and save on harddisk with a plugin ?
If this is impossible, does anybody know a software, that can extract the last frame from a mpg-file ?
In my vision gbpvr get's this image-file, my application find the pin-code-window and send the code to the receiver.
I haven't managed to get my set-up working yet. I have got the GBPVR menu on my TV screen, however when I click on Live TV all I get is a black screen. If I do the same on my PC (XP Home/1Gb RAM) then it shows me live TV.
If I am recording a program, it gives me the option to watch what I am recording, but also only gives me a black screen (on both PC & TV). I really hope someone can help as the promise of what I can do seems brilliant.
Also, can I avoid getting the Hauppauge menu? I have to restart the MediaMVP service if I want to see the GBPVR menu.
Do you need more info?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, as I'm slowly losing the plot!
1. Can I use both the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 & Realmagic XCard together ?
2. I do not have DirectX 9.0b installed, but the latest version of DirectX 9.0c is already pre-installed into my PC. I saw there's some problems with DirectX 9.0c version conflict with BG-PVR, how can I find older version of DirectX ?
3. Can I use XCard Remote Control instead of Hauppauge's Remote ? If yes, how do I configure/select it with GB-PVR ?
4. Does GB-PVR compatible with my planned MCE System as below :-
a) Intel Celeron D 2.4Ghz/533Mhz/256KB.
b) MSI P4MAM2-V Micro-ATX Mainboard.
c) 256MB Kingston DDR333.
d) VIA S3 SavagePro Display (on-board).
e) Realtek Sound Card (on-board).
f) VIA Rhine II Ethernet LAN (on-board).
g) LinkSys 802.11G PCI WiFi Adapter.
h) 16x/48x Samsung DVD-ROM Drive.
5. How do I customised the Skin, I would like to add some pictures as background in GB-PVR ?
6. Do I need to download & install the extras/plugins found in the website ? I thought that the latest version is able to do it all.
I've been using MyPictures for quite some time. This plugin is GREAT!!
However, I have encountered 2 pbs:
1. The ratio of the pictures is not good. When I look at my camera's pictures with windows xp's slideshow feature, they fill the entire screen; but in GBPVR there are black borders on both sides, and so people look taller and thinner. How can I change this?
2. I get an "out of memory" after having viewed 20 or 30 pictures (my camera is a 12 Mpix). However my system has 512MB of RAM and no other application running, so I don't understand why -- unless all viewed pictures are kept in memory? Is there a solution to this?
I was hoping someone would kindly answer some questions for me. Excuse my ignorance :o
1) Will RedRat3 USB work with a New Zealand Sky Decoder SKY STB ?
2) Will it drive channel changing on the SKY STB for GBPVR ?
4) Will all of the above work where I am using the iMON remote control and VFD receiver to initiate channel changing via the PVR software?
ie. Is it the PVR software that will make the call to use the Redrat device ?
5) Can more than one IR Receiver/Blaster exist?
