some of these problems have been mentioned elsewhere, but I wonder if the fact they're all happening to me is relevant!

anyway, I have been trying to get gbpvr to work with a Hauppauge PVR250 and a Twinhan DVB-S card with the BDA drivers. I have managed to get both these working with other software, and the tuning tool works with the 250, and the channel search now works with the Twinhan too so that I have some channels stored for viewing.

on my first attempts though, when I tried to add the DVB-S channels, the computer used to reboot on starting the channel scan. and when trying to watch live TV simply through the Hauppauge card, I only got the "channel tuning information not known" message, despite trying all the possibilities in the configuration settings. furthermore, when I tried to watch a DVD, I got (and still do get) the error message; "R6025 pure virtual function call".

after a few atempts though, I got the DVB-S channel scan to complete, but now when I click on watch live tv, the computer again reboots. I have tried reinstalling the GBPVR software, and all the drivers, but without success (indeed I had trouble unistalling the GBPVR software, as it kept saying that it could not delete the file gbpvr.ldb whilst in use, eventhough everything on my computer was closed).

any ideas as to what's going on?

i'm a noob so bear with me.
purchased an hauppage 150mce oem. just came with the bare cd rom drivers.
installed it and loaded drivers to use with gb pvr.
i live in macau.
my problem is that my cable provider supplies me with a decoder with composite outputs.(analog)
i can't get the tuner to recognise any programs with cable tuning selected.(i've tried pal-i/ntsc etc etc)
even when i revert to the coax input on the tuner i only get a few of the terrestrial programs but not all.
we are operating on pal-i system here.
i recall when i was using an ati tv wonder i had to feed the composite outputfrom decoder thru a vcr then to the capture card which seemed to work.

im running windows xp sp2/athlon xp2000/256 ddram

After running tests for 8 hours, on various channels, I find 0.69 does indeed run faster (than previous versions), however, I had to tweak my comskip.ini black frame detections slightly. The comskip.ini included in the download doesn't work for me at all, and I had to manually merge the newer detctions, with my old ones as well.
Overall, a good upgrade, including better logo detection, and the aspect ratio detection does help.

hi, i'm new to this forum and was wondering if its worth while upgrading from a geforce4 MX440 to a radeon 9200SE.

PVR comp current specs:
Athlon T-bird 1.2ghz
Hauppauge PVR 150

I'm wondering what sort of performance increase i would get in this upgrade, as I believe the radeon 9200 has a hardware mpeg2 decoder, where as the GF4mx440 only has hardware mpeg2 acceleration?

Is there to display more hours in the TV Guide? Right now it only shows the next hour or two. What if I want to record something tonight (several hours from now)?

When i burn movies recorded from gbpvr on DVD, I delete them from my system. It'd be nice to have a database that stores all the movies i have on dvd. So when i 'm looking to record a movie (that i may have already recorded) it tells me that i already recorded that movie.

I have been struggling to get a PVR setup and really dig the gbpvr. kudo's to sub.

However after getting everything setup my system will reboot out of nowhere. I can stream live video and I have started a recording but the system will reboot brfore finishing so I have not been able to see if I have success with that. I figured possible driver issues with my hauppauge 500pvr mce and updated drivers for it and for the windows 2k os and anything else I could get my hands on. Still reboots. I thought it might have to do with recording until it rebooted when I didnt even have gbpvr window running. I then stopped the service and the system seems to be stable again. Anythoughts on this? Here is what Im running.

AMD 1ghz cpu
gigabyte MB w/via chipset
60 gig maxtor
160 seagate
650 meg ram
hauppauge 500pvr mce
nvidia 5200 video

Hi, am a newbie and would like to setup a dedicated PVR service for the entire house. I was wondering if this is possible:

1 PVR server (GBPVR) with Multi Tuners (possibly 2 PVR500s) and 4 MediaMVPs for each room.

Anyway, is it possible each room with MediaMVP can watch different LiveTV programs since server would have 4 tuners via the 2 PVR500s. Will GBPVR be able to do this. The ultimate goal is I want each room to be serviced by the PVR whether live, stored films, stored mp3s, so that the kids will not bother me when they need to look for a particular film and still be able to watch and record their programs. The PVR machine will be placed somewhere else in the house. Something similar to the VOOM demo, I forget the VOOM website. BTW, I really have no need for any fancy items like HD or anything like that.

If this is a redundant and obsolete question, my apologies, but i couldn't find the proper thread that will explain this more clearly.

Also, will the MediaMVP work with a WIFI network? Just a thought for others who would have more experience with the hardware.
