  MyVideos MYDVD burning snag
Posted by: Dave Bach - 2005-07-14, 08:22 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

The final writting of the ISO to DVD by DVDdecryptor reports 'Device Not Found'. I believe the problem is due to DVDdecryptor not running as Administartor. Double clicking the batch file DVDBURN.BAT works OK but when started via my MVP, DVDdecryptor cannot find the DVD drive. I am using XP Home SP2 is there a way to 'run as user' in the batch file or change the rights of the batch file?

How to play videos in regular ratio rather than 4:3?
Posted by: scottmso - 2005-07-14, 08:05 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hey! I'm having a little problem with my installation of GB-PVR. All videos and DVDs that I play play in a 4:3 ratio. However, many of them are widescreen and do not look good in this format. How do I make it so these videos will play in their original aspect ratio?

  My Pictures
Posted by: cbett1 - 2005-07-14, 07:00 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Ok - So I'm just not getting it

Installation
Download the latest version of the Plugin: Attach:mypictures.zip You also need Attach:mydatabase.zip (this database is to be used in "My Videos", "My Muisc" and "My Pictures, if you already have this database from another plugin you dont need to download this.)

DONE! But I wasn't able to see it in the config/plugins until I added the .dll to \program files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins. However it's still not showing up in the gbpvr application menu yet but at least I can see it in the config menu now.

Configuration
You must configure "My Pictures" before it will work, you must specify at least one Element for the "Virtual Root" (if only one element is specified the contents of this Directory will be used instead), also you can specify the slideshow interval (in whole seconds). You can also specify which file extensions will be considered images, by default "jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp|tif" are used, but if theres one i missed you can add it here. Extensions must be entered like "jpg" (no quotes) and seperated by the "|" character (shift-backslash, not the L or I key).

OK - Not really sure what "element" is here. But I did set a Virtual Root for it to find "My Pictures" which is the same as identified in Playlists section above c:\documents and settings\usename\My documents\My Pictures.

So when I open gbpvr app I still don't see the My Pictures pluggin and could use some help here to get it configured correctly.

Thanks,
cbett1

First time I got this error
Posted by: gmorse - 2005-07-14, 06:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Here's what I was doing when I got the error, but I don't know if it's related. Was playing around with netradio; deleted some of the stations that come stock; got the repair dialog which recreated the stations; set the stations to 0k files after searching the forum; played net radio for about 2 minutes and then GBPVR crashed and this in the log

lost (now static) a previously working channel
Posted by: scott - 2005-07-14, 05:35 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Running latest GB-PVR with Happ-150 and standard cable with ZAP epg.

A previously working channel (3) now records and displays as static. It is listed in the guide with proper program names.

In config, it re-did the ZAP epg hoping a re-import would fix problem - It didn't. (Although now the station is listed as channel 100 at the bottom of the guide?) One of the CONFIG tabs lets me edit the channel number but not key in (or see) the frequency to be used. Reading other posts makes me think I have to edit the frequency, but where?

Thanks

This new keyboard from Microsoft is pretty cool. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mousea...px?pid=040

Enjoy,

  dvr:ms recording streams
Posted by: Darx-starz - 2005-07-14, 02:40 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Seeing as so many people are having problems DVB-T cards in relation to mpeg muxers and the like, could it not be a good idea to have an option to write the stream to native direct show format as dvr:ms? This would obviate the need for the mux. It would be a problem if the show is to be exported off the box to say mpg format but for people like me who record, watch and delete would be a godsend. Just a thought.

  Cannot Turn Off DVD Captions
Posted by: Jarhead29 - 2005-07-14, 02:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am a GB-PVR newbie but I believe I have everything set up correctly. However, when I am playing back a DVD I am getting captions that cannot be turned off! I've checked all the settings multiple times and cannot find why this is happening. I have tripled checked that I have the captions *NOT* enabled in the Misc configuration settings.

I would really appreciate any guidence you guys can provide! Other than this issue I am really happy with the capabilities of this program.

  Live TV
Posted by: krakatou - 2005-07-14, 12:43 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

When clicking on Live TV, actually get the current Live TV not the start of the recording of it?

And display the state of the recording in more detail, eg "part rec" or "31mins recorded".

And Start playing a recording from the point at which u last viewed it.

edit: I just read that back and it sounds like im not impressed with the program already, which I actually am impressed Big Grin
