I have a slight problem with Live TV. After I switched channel a few times the picture freezes seemingly randomly, for a couple of seconds at a time, then keeps doing this until I restart GB-PVR. It comes back after just a few channel changes again. Funny thing it doesn't affect all channels, say 8 out of 10, but the other two works fine. And it differs from time to time which works well, and which don't.
I've of course tried to restart my computer, without success. I haven't had this problem with any other TV App I've been using, and recording seems to work just fine. CPU load is fairly low, as well as the RAM usage.
Hi and thank you to all that reply to this post. I'm confused on where to go and to which group to post to, so please feel free to steer me in the correct direction.
I have a pvr-150 and a pvr150mce which are housed in the same box. I am watching the recorded media via a MVP. I was having no problem that I know of until I added the second card. I wanted to be able to record two programs at the same time. The GB-PVR will allow this and the machine will handle it no problem. The problem that I have is that the show titles are listed in the video library section but no file is present when you go to view them. There is no listing of the show in the recordings/ready or recordings/whats new section on either computer or MVP screen. The computer allows me to watch live TV, but not MVP. I have the comskip installed and the rec tracker, but have some questions about rec tracker I will post in the plugins forum. anywho, can anyone help me discover how to get both cards to work and save the files so I can watch them on my MVP?
Howdy Guys,
Long time since I have posted but things have been working pretty smooth. Well until I got all ambitious and bought a capture card. I had been using the MVP And GBPVR to just watch movies, and listen to music, etc. I hadn't really jacked with the TV and recording stuff since I already had a PVR that came with my Dish Network.
I bought a Hauppauge PVR-150, got it all configured, and setup recording, etc. I can watch Live TV and record what I am watching so far without a problem. I actually recorded 4 hours straight on 1 program with no problem while in live TV mode.
The problem comes in with scheduled recordings. I am trying to record the Sesame Street every morning for my daughter to watch that night since she misses it since we are driving to school. Recording will kick off and I can get from 2 minutes to 45 minutes before it locks up the whole system. I get home from work and I have to hit the reset button since the mouse, keyboard, and it isn't responding at all via network.
I knew there was a problem recording to the VIA IDE chipset that occurs with lots of similar applications so I bought a Promise IDE expansion card and moved my recording drive to it. I have also played the buffer, and Pagefile for the system on that IDE channel as well. I have googled, and searched here and not been able to find a solution. I have found you guys extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and I am hoping you can come through for me again.
I have pasted in what I can find in the logs around that time frame. Please let me know if I am missing something else from another log. Thanks so much for your time and help, have a great day and take care. p.s. I love my GBPVR

Perhaps in the future this may be a way to solve my digital cable problem. Currently my PC is located at an inconvenient distance from my digital cable box, and since I don't want to pay for another box I simply recieve only analog.
Something like the slingbox might let me leverage my home wifi by letting me get a digital cable stream up to my PC.
Is anyone else in Australia having issues playing captured streams from SBS and Seven through there MediaMVP when using GBPVR? I capture with Webscheduler using the cyberlink muxer and if I try to FF a capture the screen goes black and the mediaMVP crashes if I then try to stop it.
If it is only me then I'll look for other causes, if other people are having problems I'll send sub a DVD of samples.
Hey guys, I am new to this whole PVR thing. I was able to get GB-PVR to communicate with my card today althoug I had one question. When I go to the Config, under Recording and Playback, there are three options for me:-
1. NONE - Software
2. PVR 350
3. Sigma XL
I was not able to see my PVR150 there. Does this mean that there is no Hardware support for my PVR150? and I will not be able to to use the hardware decoder? I do get reception but am not sure if it is in Software mode or Hardware. Please help!
I really like all features in this program, but one thing I wondering. Does it support DVB-Subtitles? I don't know any windows based software, that supoport those subtitles. It would be killer feature for me.
Hi I'm using a VIA EPIA SP13000 motherboard, and I'm haven problems with playing DVD's.
When I try to play a dvd from PowerDVD, it syas that it can't play the DVD because of the MACROVISION protection, when my TV-out is enabled....
(I'm using my TV as the only monitor, as I'm using it as a HTPC)
When I use VLC mediaplayer it all works fine....
To the big problems:
I would like to play DVD's from GBPVR! But nomatter wether I select PowerDVD or System default decoder for DVD playback, it just gives me a black screen when I hit the DVD button in GBPVR!
What could be the problem?
and is there anyway I can get PowerDVD to work with my TV-out?
